You need to select Upgrade Existing Account.
And for the payment, dunno why it is implemented. But you can simply enter a paypal account and then cancel the billing in an instant. You still got your 1 free month of playing after all.
If you want to play more you need to buy timecards, or expansions, or pay.
You have to have a payment method selected in order to activate the account. Yes, your first month is free, and you will not be charged until 30 days after you activate the account, but a payment method is still required.
The game has a $14.99 subscription fee, which is pretty standard for any online game. This is because, unlike a console game, an online game is constantly growing and evolving, and it takes money to pay for all of that stuff. CoH is relatively unique amongst MMOs in that the majority of our updates are free, meaning if you are paying a subscription fee you do not need to pay more money for new content. An exception to that is being released soon, called Going Rogue, which is a paid expansion. Going Rogue will NOT be required to play the game, if you do not want to pay for it, you do not have to, and your gaming experience will be unaffected.
The payment method screen is to set up payments for the $14.99 subscription fee. If you choose not to continue playing after the first month, simply deactivate your account before your payment is do and you will not be charged.
Edit: I strongly advise you edit your original post to remove your account name, if someone finds out your account name and has a password algorithm, they could steal your account. my account name has nothing to do with my forum handle for exactly that reason.

When you upgrade to the full game it asks for a payment method for your subscription. The full game serial code comes with one free month, after that it costs US$14.99 per month to continue playing. If you choose credit card or paypal, it will automatically charge that account each month at the same time. If you don't want to be rebilled, use time cards or select a method, upgrade your account, and cancel it. You will still get to play the full month you got with the full game serial code.

Choosing a payment method is necessary because, once your free month runs out, you'll be billed either via credit card or paypal. You can also purchase time with game time cards, available at most Gamestops/EBGames.

Hi
Its been two days since i Joined COH and have upgraded my trial account. However When i tried to upgrade my existing account I am getting confused. Here is what happened.
I have already purchased the full version through my paypal. Now when Trying to use the unused serial no. it takes me to enter code page with two options 1. Use serial code & 2. Unused serial code. when i select the unused serial code with COH logo, It takes me to a new page with options of Applying serial code to my existing aacount: Bikerbanjara or create a new account.
when i select my existing account, It takes me to a Choose payment method page.
Now when I have already paid for the 19.99$ for the full version why is it taking me there?
How do i activate my game and start playing the full version.???
