Hi,

I just got a Dell Studio 15 Laptop with 4GB RAM, 512Mb ATI Mobility Radeon 4570. I installed Windows 7 RC 64bit. City of Heroes will only run with very low graphics settings and Full Screen Anti Aliasing (FSAA) off. Eight of the effects such as water effects say N\A. When I try to enable FSAA it hangs the game. I have installed the latest ATI drivers, version 8.56.1.13. Can anyone help?

Thanks,

I tried all the things I could find on this thread but have had no luck and still get the same effects.

Does anyone have the same video card and have CoH working ok?

Post a log from running CoH Helper as it will give information about your system and the CoH installation and settings.

Second, post a log from running HijackThis. This will show what else is going on on your computer while you are playing CoH.

You may also want to go back to a previous driver version. Someone made a post in the past few days about having problems with the new 9.8 Catalyst drivers. You can find several of the most recent ATI Drivers at Guru3D. You can also download DriverSweeper from Guru3 as well.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

Excellent! I tried the Guru3D drivers and it solved the problem. Thanks very much.
