Looking for a new Scrapper

So, as the title says, I'm looking for a new Scrapper to play. I team primarily with a Spines/SR scrapper, and a DM/fire brute, but I've been wanting a character to solo with. I'd like this character to be able to take down AV's, although I'm not exactly rolling in Inf. My Spines/SR is a decent farmer, so I can work it up if I absolutely need to. BUT, I would like to try and keep it relatively cheap.

For primaries, I was considering maybe DM, because I've had fun with the set on my Brute, or MA, and possibly fire, since I know fire/SR is a fairly inexpensive build. I'm also wondering how well Claws does with AV's, cause that seems like a set that could match the fun-factor of spines.
For secondaries, I'm more open to suggestions, although I would like to stay away from another /SR. I like the set, but it's been very demanding on my main.

Sooooo, any advice?

FM/SD - with some decent IO's, it could be built to do just about anything.

But if it is claws you want... I am currently working on an AV build for a claws/Inv.

I'm not gonna say anything about DM as I am sure there's gonna be tons of that to follow

Hmm... Claws/Fire/Blaze sounds like it would be pretty awesome, but I don't know if I'd be able to solo AV's with it... Claws/Inv has appealed to me, but how expensive does it get?

Ah - you wanted to take down AV's. My bad, there. I don't think anything/fire/anything would necessarily be my first choice for AV soloing. Or my second.

... Yeah. Claws/Invuln might be a better route for you, but have you considered claws/dark/Blaze? On paper it would be an awesome combo, but might be a tad end heavy.

I have a Claws/Fire/Dark (@49) and he is amazing. He just has titanium coating in the two res. shields and he is awesome for regular PVE stuff, but if I wanted to make him an AV soloer I'd probably need to make more of an IO investment then I would like too. He is ALOT of fun and a little ball of slicing burning fury (Followup with the gaus. proc, slash with the achilles proc, and focus with the decimation proc make for a wonderfully good time.) and while looking at things I threw this build together getting Melee def up to 39% I suppose with you could get that capped with the with PVP 3% def IO and 2 sets of ToD, but I'm not sure if or how that would effect dmg output over all. Hm.....

I have a friend who loves his Claws/Dark, but I'm not sure if I want to deal with the crazy end problems of */DA. I might just try out a claws/fire for the hell of it, sounds like a cool combo. But for an AV soloing toon, I may have to roll a Claws/Inv at some point. Also, with elec/elec coming over, how would a DM/Elec be?
