Hi all

I've recently started drawing and tho my stuff is still really unrefined and ugly, here's my first attempt at one of my toons, with apologies to X-Men, an issue of which I used for reference as I no available model. :-D

Plz be kind!

Hey! That looks pretty darn good! What did you use to create it?

Just pencil and coloured pencil (only had 3 colours...lol) then a little ink and the scanner. :-)

That's excellent work! You've got all the basic ideas pretty well covered, so it's just some specific things I could say to improve it:

Watch her torso direction - her upper shoulders to around her breasts are kind of facing one way, while her waist is going another. It's okay, but it looks a tiny bit odd to me.

Watch the eyes - a little cleanup digitally could change the left eye to match the right.

Aside from that, sheesh - good work!

Thanks for the pointers! I'm gonna re-do it as soon as I can get out and get some proper supplies. I screwed the eyes in the end...wish I knew enough about digital tools to do it!

Again, thanks for the advice! I really appreciate it.

Zekiran covered all the stuff I spotted, but all in all that's a helluva job for a first attempt! And I heartily recommend looking into digital, it's a great tool for post-production editing of your art.

Keep your artz coming! Always fun to watch as our artists become better and better with each piece they create.

Very nice work. Enjoyed sharing it with my husband who is an artist (oil) he enjoyed it as well said "not bad not bad at all" comming from him that is a great compliment.
Keep up the good work....

Very good first attempt and considering it is a first attempt you've hit the right buttons, I never always hit the right ones myself after MANY years of drawing. If you can pick up some "How to draw comic/super heroes" books you would be amazed on how much you can learn, I bought some a little over a year and a half ago and still use them today, good luck

Just snagged some of those books today actually...I'm picking up a lot actually! Learned quite a bit, especially about colors. I'm re-doing the one I posted, and have some others in the work I'll post when done.
