Sorry for the question, what does Kite mean?

Prob a stupid question, read it in a couple post, what is it, I have a level 32 PB and 23 WS that I play a little but I don't know much about them, and I am really struggle with the Archetype, but I enjoy it anyways

to enter attack range only long enough to queue an attack thus making certain attacks never hit you.

Kiting is basically a character with ranged attacks unloading on a foe who either has little or no ranged attacks to counter.

For example, my PB likes to "kite" in Nova form, particularly against players in PvP who don't have the same range capabilities. I'll hover-blast in Nova form while the other player either retreats or jumps up to get in range, gets one attack off and falls back to the ground. Sometimes they'll fly up to challenge me in the air, at which point I'll drop to human form, light them up with Incandescent Strike and make them fall back down to the ground again.

Kiting can be done with any ranged AT...blasters, corruptors, defenders etc. It's just a tactical advantage that can be useful in certain situations.

A bit more detailed it means hitting the enemy then running away so they can't hit you back, it could be for example hitting a melee only mob from range and then backing off and attacking again but backing off so they never get to hit you. Or it could mean hitting a mob then running behind an obstactle to avoid retaliation, popping in and out of cover to get an attack in.

I often contemplate the visual image of just forcing the enemy (the Kite) to follow the player (the Kiter) by using the kite's string (repeated ranged attacks)... and it brings me great pleasure when I'm Nova-kiting Lv54 Bosses in AE farm runs!
