Architect Chat - who and why?
I havent checked it out, but thought it was a global chat, so what you see on virtue would be same any server.
I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.
Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.
So sad to be ending ):
Nope, it's not a global - it's serverwide, like Help or Arena, but separate for each server.
Too many server wide channels IMO, make all the 'global' channels Global.
Unless you have a huge screen you are unlikely to have more than 2-3 chat panes up at once (well I don't) and it's likely that unless like Golden Girl you actually monitor them all the time you don't get to see them.
Make them Global and the channels get all the people on all the servers who use them responding rather than the much smaller number on a single server.
Well IMO anyway.

Global channels operate differently than official channels - they only support 2500 members total and use global names rather than character names.
There are a total of three serverwide channels - Help, Arena and Architect Chat. Of the three, only Help seems to see regular use, but from what I can tell, the reason for that is that it is the only of the three with user interface support - it's an option in the chat menu, while Arena and Architect can only be found by accident or through word of mouth. If the interface is ever updated to support those two, I'd be willing to bet their use would become commonplace, but as is, things aren't looking good.
On Champion, I only see one guy use the Architect chat. Once an hour, he'll give a two paragraph movie-trailer style spiel advertising one of his arcs. The number of lines spoken by other people can be counted on one hand.
Just curious, how many people here use the Architect Chat channel, and what for? It doesn't seem to be seeing almost any use on Virtue, and I'm curious if the other servers are any different. Of course, what with the unupdated UI it basically amounts to a communicational easter egg, but still.
