Hey guys! if u saw my other post, Ive completely dropped fire/fire as it just didnt feel right to my playstyle. Now ive rolled an Nrg/Dev blaster! hes 24 now an i like it so far but the problem, IMA NEWB! i dont kno much, and im def. not an expert. ima gonna post my current build, but as ive only been playing 3 weeks PLZ give your opinions on what im doing wrong/right and what can be tweaked. THX!

NRG/
1. Power Bolt
2. Power Blast
3. Energy Torrent
4. Power Burst
5. Sniper Blast
6. Aim
7. Explosive Blast
8. Nova

I took all of them except power push (didnt seem appealing) because i like alot of attacks for any situation. an they all seemed fun..

/Dev
1. Web Grenade
2. Caltrops
3. Targeting Drone
4. Smoke Grenade
5. Cloaking Device
6. Trip Mine
7. Time Bomb
8. Auto-Turret

Well, took most of these as well cuz look at the utility! Smoke Grenade+Cloak+Time Bomb+trail-o-trip-mine+me=DEATHFORTHEM. Plus caltrops are nice to have, and the drone helps wit acc. an the auto-turret...well. its nice.

POWER POOLS

Flight- Hover (i like it in teams to hover over the mob, turning my annoying KB into KD!)

Fitness- Sprint,Health,Stamina (sprint helps my hover, an health an stamina... Obvious)

Speed- Hasten, SS (hasten to help when settin down trip mines, an SS for travel plus helps my cloaking device)

Leaping- Combat Jumping (took this for the added DEF, an to increase mobility on SS)

Munitions- Body Armor (only APP that interested me, plus this power could help)

THX TO ANYONE WHO ACTUALLY READ ALL THIS! PLZ GIVE YOUR OPINIONS!

I can't really say much about energy however regarding Devices I'd advise dropping Time Bomb. Quite frankly it's an awful, awful power to use. The rest of the Devices set is pretty good just make sure you slot it up. In particular, slot Smoke Grenade for both Accuracy and To Hit debuff, it provides decent damage mitigation but the debuff is not Auto-Hit (unlike Flash Arrow in TA). Also it's important to note that Cloaking Device does not provide full stelth you'll want to pick up a Stealth IO to go with it (slot the IO in Sprint and always turn on sprint when stealthing to save slots).

Regarding Munitions Mastery I strongly urge you to take at least Surveillance and preferably LRM. Surveillance is a very nice debuff to help out against bosses and LRM is a decent mini-Nuke power.

You've gone a bit heavier into the travel pools than I tend to like. Taking Combat Jumping is probably unnecessary. While it does provide a Defense Bonus it isn't that big (you can get similar bonuses for IO sets) and frankly you could probably find a better use for the power. The point about using it with Super Speed is well taken but a better option would (IMHO) be to switch Swift for Hurdle and slot it up a bit. Hover is fast enough for in mission use if you slot it for flight speed a bit. Personally I take Super Jump for travel power on almost all of my toons but it's largely a preference thing (I find Flight boring and Super Speed limiting).

I took Hover/Fly which isn't too much different than CJ/SJ 3 slot each of them with Blessing of the Zypher's easy 6% range and AoE.
