I am, and my clock currently says 22:45. This is my point. This is not GMT. This is BST. Two different timezones.

I was there. It was 9PM where I live, which is GMT +2 zone, so it had to be 7PM GMT.

Sadly I didn't win anything

"British Summer Time or BST is the civil time during the summer months in the United Kingdom during which the clocks are advanced from Greenwich mean time (GMT) by one hour. It was first established by the Summer Time Act of 1916, was amended by subsequent acts and is now defined by the Summer Time Order of 2002 which laid down that it would be"

British summer time is GMT +1, just like CEST (Central European Summer Time) is GMT + 2 rather than the normal CET (Central European Time) which is GMT + 1.

Yes, it was 7pm in the UK, but that is not always 7pm GMT. If you advertise as a specific timezone then people shouldn't have to assume you are talking about a different one.

To coin a phrase, "on any "What is the time now websites" you can view the time in different countries and it will show you exactly what is what". check on one of these websites and you will see 7pm GMT is 1 hour after 7pm BST.

Ooo yes now I see it, you are right sorry, I didn't look up the definition of GMT on the web, always assumed GMT was whatever time it was in the UK and as it was a UK guy posting the link didn't even think to do anything other that just look at my watch and turn up then (thanks for the wiki link whoever it was to show me what GMT actually is).

Oh well I was wrong, never mind, learn something new and through the power of the fantastic English education system and basic ignorance I turn up at the wrong time (amazingly my geography was correct so I did in fact get the right place) which was in fact the same wrong time most other people picked.

Sorry you missed it, was fun, thanks to all those who organised it

There will always be a next time I can assure you that, any timezone issues I'm sure we will iron out.

Thx to all who took part and to those Huge Prize Winners

It was a great, well-organised competition. The turnout was huge, and I can only imagine the whole hour or so that it lasted for was a huge headache for the hosts.

The contestants had some really good costumes, and I'm still surprised that I came 1st.

Hope to see more people around at future huge competitions, and I hope that there is little confusion with time in the future too.

It was much fun for us all I think, was great to see Atlas Park on Union as packed as it was.

I've been at work the last 2 days with no time to sort screenies or videos, apart from the Winners above, however ...... 2 days off now so I'll get them uploaded asap, I will also be uploading full featured *.Demo files for full viewing of the entire comp from start to end, for those unsure on the CoX *.demo recording feature I'll be sure to post details of this also.

Grtz once again to everybody that turned up, Thank You all and Thank you to all our Host's from the 2 Main SG's "Skill Knowledge Pleasure & Pain" and "Banana Supremes" and Huge Grtz to the Winners

Until the next time .... screenies/vids on way.
