Can't use tilde (~) in Avatar/Sig Images?

The forums do not like the tilde (~). Basically, it breaks the URL for the forums. The forums thinks that the URL ends just before the tilde, so nothing works.

Use the URL replacement (%7e) instead. Basically, this is the special code for URLs to use special non-alphanumeric characters without choking on them.

DO NOT USE:
http://someurl.com/~somename/image.jpg

USE INSTEAD:
http://someurl.com/%7esomename/image.jpg

Odd... I have a tilde in the URL to my sig image, and it shows up just fine...

I did notice that it was taking a long time to load a couple of days ago, so I moved it to a backup server, but now it's working fine again. I guess if I start to notice problems again, I'll just change the ~ and hope that works.
