I'm usually one to point out what looks odd, what could be improved and the good points in a piece.
So I'll try to do that now as well.
First the good points:
Good show of anatomy and proportions.
Nice design, and yes the pose and everything does give a batman feel. I thought that before I read your description (I like to do that: look first, then read description, then look again, see if anything's different with the explination) so very well done.
Now the odd bit:
His legs suggest he's turned a little to his left. His torso suggests that he's turned a little to his right. I think it's the right leg that does it, and it's subtle, but... it's the only thing I can pick out 
As for what could be improved? I can't pick something out, well, maybe the patern joining at the joints isn't that even left and right, but it's a minor point.

Why oh why do I do this to myself? I didn't realise the detail on my new character was such a pain in the butt :/ but anyway... a Batman inspired toon with "capt america" wings on the head, martial arts scrapper, might work on a "Strike Bike" too
