The obvious way would be to respec and take challenge or provoke from the presence power pool (or both if you can) and try to fit that into your build somewhere. You will need to slot it though to keep aggro.
Thats what I would do but having said that my fire/rad has yet to take on an AV solo so its just a theory.
Theres two IO enchancements that you can slot into your pets that gives them a 5% defence increase. Its small but does help. You could try that as well. Cant remember the name for them at the moment though 
Life is one big practical joke that we as the human race have yet to see the punchline to. Once you work that out the rest is easy.

I did think of that!
And I did solo Eochai in the end. Using my taunt it would occasionally stop him using his PBAoE attack. That's the attack that kills my imps.

Your rhetorical question kinda gave the immpression that you didn't actually think about Archy's post. I woudn't call it a "ridiculous" notion to suggest. I'm sure many people would agree that your first post had used a rhetorical question, which gave the immpression that you didn't think about it.
I don't want to start a silly argument here, but I just don't think that naming Archy's post to be ridiculous was a good term to use. It would have seemed more friendly if you didn't add "what a ridiculous notion to suggest" at the end of your post. ^^

I have soloed a lot of AV's on my Fire/Rad and some monsters. So I thought I would take it up a step and start with some GM's.
I am starting with Eochai, but I have a problem.
He's attacking me as usual, with my Hover on so he uses ranged attacks, and then the nasty part occurs! Since my Fire Imps deal more DPS than me, Eochai will start to attack them. And he usually two or three hits them. With the imps dead: I don't have enough DPS and i'm done for.
Is there any methods to keep him attracted/aggroed towards me?
I actually also had this problem on one or two AV's.
