Logging out to change characters.

I haven't had this problem myself, but can understand it must be annoying as heck to have to restart the client just to change toons.
Have you tried pressing TAB to change the input box focus? (this probably won't work if the login box isn't already in focus though...)
I'll try that when it happens again but it only happens every so often. What's more often is my password being with extra letters in it that aren't supposed to be there but thats a known bug.

Using Tab to be able to type in the password gets me as far as having to choose a server and at that point I still have no mouse.

One fix for mouse is to run with -compatiblecursors 1 when you start the game.
Can probably use search function to find info on compatiblecursors option but I use this as startup line for EU city of heroes with multithread support (if you have dualcore or better) and removing the cursor problem.
as "Target" in your shortcut (make another one, you still want to lauch the updater to get patches etc)

One might add that it is a bit awkward that you can't log out to character selection even after requesting this feature since i11 when I started playing.
I want to switch characters and I fail to see why I have to relogin and select server every time when all I want is just log back to character selection!
Sometimes when I log out to change characters I got to enter my password but have no mouse icon on the screen for me to click the entry box. I try closing and reopening the window and nothing changes meaning I have to reload the game again. What's up with that?
