(( I agree with Raven here, I don't -want- to be affected by this, but all my characters would be. You're essentially god modding pain on all my toons, and not really happy with that, at all.))
(( But the TC hasn't stated whether heroes/villains are affected by the noise. The only reaction they've told us about is from the citizens ))
((As it stands Ashley Grey IS a citizen. A normal human, whose current situation means she can't use her powers. So yes. He's effectively god moding her. And explain why it wouldn't effect heroes? Mutation and stuff, Fine. But Tech heroes? Natural? Explain why they wouldn't be affected ))
(( What about heroes with super-hearing? This sort of thing would be REALLY nasty for such... Always a BAD idea to run plot that has city-wide effects.))

(( Those wishing to know: This IC post was stopped by me after careful thought and seeing that it would be seen as a godmod on my part.
Also the time for this to happen has past already, so I was surpized to see it suddenly today up on the boards from the depth of the pages.
I was going to use this in a MA Arc I was going to do after I finish the present one Im working on, till then like others I had tried to do they were to lay quietly on the pages of this board. Hopefully this should clear up any and all confusement on this matter. (I also explained on GGOOC that I had made up my mind to stop the IC post of this name, not that many took notice of it.) ))
((Oh no! A brief loud noise has totally ruined all my characters FOREVER. Reality check people, at the very least take it to PM's so you don't drown out his thread with OOC comments before he even gets a chance to begin. If your character is permanently wounded by a loud noise then I really have to wonder how they make it as a hero. Guns are pretty loud. ))
Working in her small plot of land on the border between Steel Canyon and King's Row, Rhiannon was busy trying to negotiate with the carrots about water rights when the noise washed over the small garden. With no bones Rhiannon heard by the displaced air currents and once she'd jogged free of the vegetables she whipped up a quick maelstrom around herself, managing to block out most of piercing sound.
Rubbing her ears with muttered curses, she scans the skies for the signs of a war wall collapse and seeing none staggers over to the shed, rooting around in the junk littered around old gardening equipment for the large eye muffs that the old owner used when trimming the hedges. Someone was going to get it in the neck for this.
Edit: Nevermind then! Ah well, i'll leave the post up. Bad timing on my part.

You know, this could be made to work if you wanted to still do it. You just have to make it affect only a small neigbourhood instead of the entire city. That way, our characters won't be there and you can do what you want with it. It's the citywide aspect of it that was the problem. ))

Paragon City: Steel Canyon, Far above in the clouds.
In the clear of the day with only a few clouds around him hovered sliently a large battlearmour, it's antenna's blinking green and red as it stayed there. It's visor scrolling with information before it flickered up with a pair of red eyes.
"Orders Comfirmed: beginning test." Was all it's electronic voice said as it began to hover it's ways downwards towards the city below.
Across the city
The mid morning sun shinning down on the streets of the city, people going about their normal daily jobs, the street thugs and heroes having their battles, everything seemed so normal.. so quiet.. so unperpared for what was coming. Suddenly the normal noise of the city was broken by the sound of the siren wails from the alert system, it's pitch seemed to raise up slowly as every zone area came filled with it, however something wasn't right the Warwalls were still up.
People still ran for cover, expecting a rikti or zombie attack till they saw the walls still up, with made quite a few stop in their tracks and wonder what was happening.
"What the.. how come the walls are sti-" one man said as he was knocked almost over by a woman running down the sidewalk from behind him "Hey! watch it will you! the walls are still up.."
Suddenly the mans eyes went wide as he grabbed for his head and fell to the ground in a curl of pain, around him people did the same, some fell in pain while others either fell down out cold or merely froze in place.
All over the city it spread, effecting those outside and in their homes, the siren wails continuing to sound blocking out the noise of the impact of something landing in the steel canyon area.
(( This event has yet to happen in game, but will once it comes to a close or near to it. Any heroes or those wishing to play the normal people or even some of the street gangs are free to up in at any point just remember: the noise is coming from everywhere.))
