Top 100 Super groups
Agree with all of the above really - the top 100 does change it is just getting there that takes the time.
When we formed the The Dirty Handprints we found it a struggle to start with to get the members because no one had heard of us and there are always those players who want to be in a a top 100 sg. This in turn reduces the prestige earnt and makes it longer to get into the top 100 and so on.
It took the Dirties just under 2 years to get to no1 spot and the cleans are coming up to 2 years in 4 months when they will hopefully be no2.
For us the prestige earned is used as a measure of activity which is why we set a min to earn each month per toon, after all anyone can get a toon in and log it on every other day but do nothing with it - so we use the prestige to make sure that toons are on and playing making the gaming experience better for all members.
Now that prestige is not really needed it would be nice to see the ranks measured by other things as there must be active sg's out there who are not playing in sg mode.

why UV isnt in the top ten but i know of them to be a good sg filled with great players...so its not all about positions.

Too much RP, I'm betting. But thanks. :>

Also did not help that the UV was actually two SGs until recently. Quite a lot of active members were in the NV instead and have now merged over. And, of course, all that Prs I earned banging Nitoichi up to 50 is still padding out the NV score. It'll take me ages to reach that score with her now since she actually missions less.

No probs, well what I meant by that post (and horrible spelling mistakes aside) is the fact that...and lets use UV and the Art of War as examples.
Now as I have said AoW has been around since beta, and for a long while has had a massively fluctuating player base, so its fair to say there was a lot of teaming/grinding going on, plus we had the likes of Globey/Phil and Rooks before they set up a pure pvp sg for themselves, but as we stand at the moment we are purely a group of really laid back friends ranging from great old scholl players such as Eros and Fulcrum to newer additions such as Sparkie and Adz with a variety of game knowledge spread across the board from RP to PvP. We team every night and will do whatever takes our fancy, I for one like to spice up the week, ranging from heavy TF's, to mini pvp sessions through to fiddling with the base (its tough to decorate a full plot size but is looking rather spangly - Eros is probably the best base builder I know) and the occasional player events for the server to enjoy.
Now with UV, from what I knowledge I have of them (i dont know your history as to how long you have been active chaps so wont make assumptions) is of a collective of good players with a wide knowledge of the game and are essentially a friendly bunch they run good RP events and play the game to their strengths.
In my opinion just because we are in the top ten on union doesnt make our SG any better than UV or anyone else for that matter.
To sum it up I treat SG's like I treat AT's - its not the fact of who has more (prestige or builds) its the players in control of the aforementioned catagories that make an SG good, so although its nice to have a table showing top sg's I agree that there should be other factors that you could list them other than just prestige.
thats my two penneth anyhoo
