As far as i'm aware you have to buy a retail version of the game to upgrade the account. You'll get 30 days playing time with it so you won't need to buy the time card yet.

Rent is right - buy a retail version of the game before buying a time card.
My personal recommendation is the GvE Edition, but that's only for the VERY handy goodies that come with it.

Yeah ive got my brother to buy me the one for 14.99 which comes with jetpack n teleport card, just waiting for the online store to come back online now then ill be good to go, typical isnt it i've been trying all day to get it now i have a way to get it an the site goes down

I'm having to buy from amazon as the PlayNC site dosn't want to accept my card even tho on the site it says it accepts solo.
Would the 30day game time card work for me or will i have to buy somthing else?
