Game Freezes on key press

Im having a weird problem at the moment across all servers and all characters, heroes and villains.

One I have logged in if I press ctrl or alt or page up or down and keys like that the whole game freezes and can only be exited by ending the task in task manager. I'm using an MSI GX700 laptop. The game has always worked in the past and was working after the last patch. Checked all my drivers and cant find any new ones (on which note msi havent updated the graphics driver for my 8600m since june).

Any ideas? as im running out

on further testing it even freezes on the login screen if I touch any key apart from letters and numbers.

That's a very peculiar problem, and not one I know anything about.

I have identified a surefire way to make CoX lock up on my own PC, though, which is if I accidentally hit the Caps Lock key at the same time as the Tab key while Alt+Tabbing. This causes a guaranteed game crash on my system. It's possible that your problem is related to that, but I don't know for sure.

I doubt it, I think thats a bit too obscure. Saying that, anything's possible!

after talking with NC they suggested I update my graphics drivers, the company that makes my laptop hadnt released tweaked version of the 8600m driver so I had to get some 3rd party drivers. But that fixed the problem, no more freezes, yet
