HELP! Game wants to reinstall >.>
There's a common problem with the desktop shortcut not being created properly. Sometimes it just links back to the installer, sometimes it links to the US version. Both will try to reinstall.
Browse to your install folder (Commonly C:\Program Files\City of Heroes), and look for the file "Cohupdater.EU.exe" (The .EXE part might be hidden, depends on your view settings). Right click and drag this file to the desktop, release the button, and choose "Create shortcut" from the menu that pops up. All should be well then.

Hi, i tried that, and now it says 'unable to find updater' when i click the shortcut i made. The Covupdater.eu.exe is still on my desktop also.
If you created the shortcut correctly, then that shouldn't happen. Open up the shortcut properties and paste your target line in here please.

"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes Test Server\CovUpdater.EU.exe" -test
that's ok right?
The only thing i can think of is i didn't name the test folder what it tells ya to, i called mine city of heroes test.
Should i try renaming it to CohTest then

Yes, because that's what it's supposed to be called. The test server should be named exactly as the instructions tell you to name it.

I dloaded 2.6GB worth of COH, and i logged into my villain, changed my resolution and gfx settings, logged out while being attacked by 3 rikti, then when i wanted to reopen the game, the game updater started dloading another 2.6GB
I'm installing from my COV collectors disc that i bought about 1 year and 6 months ago, and am downloading 900Mb worth of updates, so i think my prob was solved, but im just wanting to know what caused that. I mean i don't want it to happen again
