Yep. When I think of street fighting, I always think of this!

if it's that, i'll say a big NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
it's a hero game, not a sissy fighting movie....

Woah, you are missing out on a lot of great movies.
That movie was deep, deep, deep; it was simply amazing. One of the most engrossing films for decades. It is not sissy. It really boils the blood of both you and the actors.
The point has been made over and over sorudo, this isn't the Street Fighter set you were looking for. Brilliant game, but unfortunately, we want da American style of street fighting, where blood is spilled and bones are broken. I imagine only a small percent of the population will want the Japanese style of street fighting, with ki and chi and whatever.
Also, technically ki and chi are energy, which already exists in the game. Go figure.
[/ QUOTE ]
then i have news for yah, there are A LOT more ppl hoping for the typical japanese street fighter styles then the bold, useless american style.
btw, that's not fighting, that's just the same as what american football is, just aimlessly hitting to hope if it hurts or not.
if you call that fighting, then you know nothing about fighting.
and before i get that backslash about "and you're suppose to know", yes i do.
i have created my own martial art style, before that i trained jujitsu to train the basics.
and currently, i created a style for both defense and killer offense.
if there is anything, even the slightest thing that i know, then it's the difference between fighting and aimless hitting.

Please give me proof of this. Before you backfire, ask almost anyone and theres a 99.9% chance they'll say that they want punches and kicks, not chi and ki.
And "aimless hiting"? Where'd you get that from? Take a quick view into any street fighting, even WWE, and you see that it is all prepared in their mind. Now your Street Fighter is actually aimless hiting cos all you do is punch punch kick kick and there is no "accuracy".
Also, on Wikipedia there is abseoutly no mention of chi/ki on the "Street fighting" page. Obviously your "every wiki site that exists is ki/chi" comment is ill-thought out and didn't have backup. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_fighting
Please post something that actually shows that you know that ki and chi is street fighting before saying what you "think" is right.
Street Fighting is -VERY- dirty. It involves overpowering through use of anything to hand and quick 'below the belt' shots. Repeatedly. To knock someone out of simply kill them. Street Fighting isn't about 'HADOKEN *pew*' fire balls ect, it's about fighting in the -REAL WORLD-.

Well there's already a martial arts set for you to use then.
However, the majority of players have asked for "street fighting". That being down and dirty free for all type fighting.
As for being martial arts trained/creating your own martial art, neither makes street fighting any less formidable. In fact in most real life fights, you simply don't have time for fancy footwork as most fights end up with someone being kicked in the head while they're on the floor.

In fact, a friend of mine is living proof of this. We were in a pub, and he was explaining to somebody that he did kung-fu mostly for the exercise, but also because it was handy for self-defence. Didn't help him much when a fight broke out and somebody smashed a bottle over his head from behind though. While he was still sitting down...
However, it turned out that Smith was not a time-travelling Terminator
Out of curiosity how often do you pull of a chi blast in jujitsu.
Also have you ever seen a street fight?
In many cases a professional martial artiest would be over come by the sheer brutality of there attacker before they were able to pull of one of there well practised kicks or quick punches to a nerve cluster. Because the street fighter would be on top of the martial artiest smashing hell out there face or stomping on them.
Its also worth remembering much of whats classed as street fighting is really a form of mixed form martial art.
I suggest you go read up on Jail house rock its effectively street fighting descended from the fighting styles of African slaves used primarily within the American prisons and is now considered by some to be a type of martial art.
Street FIghting is using whatever you can really. So if you can pull off a complicated move you try to but mostly it's simple fast attacks.

Martial arts set is all well and good, but its ALL kicks.
Street Fighting, as in, 'Headbutt', 'Suckerpunch' and 'Flail' style stuff, would be really nice.
In other words;
BROOT SMARSH!
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.
