Hurricane (( Open RP ))
The body of the Council Marksman slid from the 14th floor balcony , the helmet coming off a third of the way down , uncovering a ruined face , faceplate fragments jutting from the smashed flesh ...
back up on the 14th floor wall a blood smear tells a tale of repeated impacts of face on to stone ...on the balcony a gloved hand wipes some blood splatter on to the balcony's stripped awning .....
...the black and purple clad caped figure of Nullman's Other self ..looked at the glove ..the figure muttered to its self ......foolish to think to hide up here ..do they not know the price of their crimes is to fall...
..the ground was unmoved as the Marksman impacted .. sending a gaggle of pigeons skyward in fear ......
The Other Mind of Nullman watched the birds scramble for height in the cold dawn air ..and looked up to see the incoming cloud front ..as the thunder roared ....the ,black and purple, being slowly faded from view .....but watchful eyes remained locked on the massing clouds .........
10am, the skies above Founders Falls has been filled with a thick black cloud, light rain has started falling and the wind picked up. The clouds moved on their course, heading North-West, but something was unnatural about them, they seemed to be slowing down, setting anchor in the city zone.
The thunder roared again, thunder without lightning.

The thunder masked the sound of each hit. The crey operatives fell one by one into the water, unconcious. The last remaining eliminator looked around franticly, not seeing anybody, friend or foe, and began to run. He rounded the corner too fast and tripped. Crawling he backed into an alley. He stood and backed up until his back bumped into the wall. Spooked he span and unleashed an energy blast into the wall - to no effect. He turned back to the entrance of the alley were stood the silhouette of a figure. Again another blast lit up the alley, and once the brightness dimmed - he was once again alone.
The eliminator stepped forward to examine the body in the darkness. But there wasn't one there, as from the darkness behind him stepped the purple clad figure of The Walking Shadow. As the eliminator straightened up, having found nothing, thunder struck again. It covered the sound of the sickening crack, and the thud as the limp eliminator slumped to the ground.
The white eyes of the 'hero' were the last thing he saw, as he stepped back into the darkness.
An off-duty PPD Officer stood under one of the many bridges in Founders to protect him from the rain as he drank his morning coffee. Ruffling the morning's newspaper, he sighed, "Damn Rikti, one of these days-" the clouds churned and the rain stopped, the officer stood out from under the bridge to see if it was the case.
The clouds swirled, slowly going from black to white, but it wasn't. The officer could only stare at what was happening, the clouds started to glow above him, but, before he could take cover, mighty thunder shook the ground as a bolt of lightning struck him and the rain started again, heavier than before.
Several blocks away, citizens were shielding themselves from the rain using whatever was at hand, only the lucky few who grabbed one had an umbrella. They looked up, unshielding as the rain stopped, shortly followed by a chorus of sighs as it started again with a clash of thunder.

The police had , by 10am , long gone .. a dead Council Trooper , regardless of cause , was not a major incident , no one had even bothered to find out where he had fallen from , may be the gathering storm had driven off the policemen ....... The light rain cleaning the last marks from the pavement .....From the 14th floor level the silent watcher , of Nullmans mind remain , eyes following the shapes the building cloud head formed .....hidden in a cloak of un-being motionless , waiting ....
The lightning was like a game, Shadow used it to strike fear into the hearts of his foes. Appearing momentarily as each flash struck, then disapearing again. The group of paragon protectors grouped together. Between the next two flashes, 3 of them had fallen. As Shadow lined up the final one, the sky cleared, causing Shadow to retreat to his namesake.
Then the booming thunder shook the ground, and lightning struck several places around the hero, ripping up the ground and throwing him from his feet. Colliding heavily with a wall, The Walking Shadow lay stunned, slumped on the floor as the rain poured in again, with added ferocity.
The wind started picking up through the streets, rain turned to sleet and the lightning became more frequent. All around Founders Falls, citizens were running for shelter and Heroes were either doing the same or being thrown to the ground forcibly.
A small area of the great black cloud started to glow again, as if charging up for another shot. The sleet turned to rain again, and the rain to a slight drizzle up until the lightning struck, the bolt could be seen from most of the city zone, a great bolt of lightning struck a building causing a firey explosion. Then the rain picked up again, turning into sleet and ultimately back into the raging storm.
(( The storm can now be seen from surrounding zones, a fire has started in the west of Founders, it is not known if there was anybody in the building and if so if there are any survivors. Because of the storm, PPD, Vanguard and Longbow can't call in for help, if you want in you'll have to of seen it or already been there ))

Huddled under a tree, hidding barely in the pile of leaves could be seen the form of a young boy, his hair as green as fresh grass, his clothes were dirty from the mud and soil that seem to leak out from his belt. He look out from pile as the branches of the tree seem to part a little, just enough for him to see the deep dark clouds above.
"Mummie.. that don't look nice.." He muttered as the tree seemed to once again form over him, as if protecting him from the rain.
As another clash of thunder sounded out, he quickly buried his head in his arm, shivering.
"Mummie.. tell them to go away.. please.. they scare me.."
suddenly a smaller tree grew out from the ground infront of him, it seemed to have a thin trunk and a much bigger spread of heavily leaved bunches, to the point of looking just like an umbrella.
"But.. Bu.." He studdered before looking out again, ".. Ok.. if your sure.."
With that he lepted up and grabbed the umbrella tree from the ground, before dashing out into the streets, each foot step he left behind him seem to have a tuff of grass growing out of it.
(( Well he's the only character I got left to add into one of these things, and he can be usefull if a scared cat at times. :P ))
((ahh, nurture?))
Wrapping himself in the protection of not being ((invis)) Nullman's Other Mind , stepped his body off the 14th floor balcony and with a total indifference to gravities demands ,failed to follow the late Council Marksman route to the pavement below ((fly))...
..crossing the city he aimed directly for the burning building , keeping half a eye out for more so called lighting strikes ..where not all of the Founders tall structure very well served in the lighting rod department ....it is not a location for cut price buildings...so that building should not be burning ...someone who have to pay .......
The sleet grew thicker, the wind grew stronger and day became night as the cloud seemed to block out all light. Pedestrians at street level caught in the air were toppled over, any vehicles still on the roads crashed from being blinded by the sleet, skidding into nearby buildings and other cars, Founders Falls was starting to fall into chaos.
The flaming building started to die out, being subdued from the constant downpour, if anyone survived the initial strike they would have been killed from the fire.
Lightning started striking rhythmically around the city, every ten seconds there was a thunderous boom, every ten seconds another cry for help. As the chaos continued, nobody noticed the water levels starting to rise. The sleet keeps coming down with no sign of stopping, unless something is done, Founders Falls will become flooded.

Nobody, that is except The Walking Shadow ((and yes the The is part of his name, not part of the title)); as he was roused by the water lapping against his head.
"What the?" he puzzled as he sat up, "how long was i out? it's dark already".
Looking at the rising water level and then the sky, he mutters "this is not good".
seeing the fire gutted building up close , the costume clad form cursed out load , tuned to look skyward , and ,as ever, the Other Mind of Nullman choose the direct approach , and slowly ascended towards the glowing heart of the storm ......
The young boy ran as fast as he could for a nearby building, ducking into it's doorway, his tree umbrella was now ruined and full of holes however it had done it's job for now.
He glanced out from the door and noticed the people running away from what seemed to be the rain, he tilted his head to one side then looked at his feet.
"Their strange.. mummie.. it's only a little.. oh.. the floor is wet..very wet.. oh well." He muttered before looking back up, the thunder claps sounding out around him.
Suddenly a car skidded into his veiw, it was out of control, whoever was inside it was screaming out as it skidded and aquaplaned on the road surface. The boy nodded then ran out into the rain towards the car, throwing a hand fulls of seeds and muddy soil from his belt at the car.
"Stop the car friends." he yelled as suddenly the floor under the car where the seeds had landed bursted out into vines and grabbed the car, bringing it to a sudden stop.
"Rain and water.. we like.. help them grow." he smiled as the guy jumped out from the car and ran for a nearby building.
"Hey Kid! get inside!" He yelled keeping the door open, but the young boy instead ran off down the street, stopping a few more cars the same way he had saved the man.
(( Sorry all, my internet gave up around 5, only just got it back up and going ))
The storm continued, it's constant churning caused hundred mile winds within the clouds. It seemed to create a mind of it's own, a glow appearing in it's very heart, a surge of lightning erupted covering the underbelly of the great cloud, offshoots attacking any heroes in the sky.
During this savage show of energy the weather on ground level grew thin, the wind dying down and the sleet growing lighter. The water systems all around the city started to flood, the city streets having an audible splash, constantly rising from nowhere to escape to.

..as the lighting changed from bolts to sheet , a arc leaped at and struck Nullman's form , proof positive this was no natural energy , tumbling , the purple and clad form lost its clock of unseen-ness ......
... then the colours faded leaving a shining metal skinned form , that of Nullman himself ...as always the Other Mind was able segment Nullman',s memories in to current events ...
..recovering some what Nullman halted the decent and looked around , short of blowing a hole in the Warwall , or turning the Talos gate into a new canal , neither of which he had the ability to do , he was stumped on how to deal with the excess water .....looking back up at the lighting shrouded , glowing centre of the storm , a wicked grin spread across his face ....
....shouting out to no one really he started back up at full speed , straight at the glow .. Yo babes this lad is no one trick pony ....pushing his flying to its limit , he defocused and let himself fall out of realities grip , ((phase shift)), hey babes ..I'm Back !.....
Stepping out of the tram then out from the shelter into the rain unslinging her bow, the rain doesn't touch her, fizzling away just before her in a sphere, "Hmm." looking up Sammy sighs and leaps from roof to roof, into the storm before kicking in her jetpack. Aiming for the eye of the storm but she gets struck down and falls, hitting the road creating a fair sized crater in the road...

((apologies for corniness in the following post - I've been watching an awful lot of Murder, She Wrote lately...))
An old woman sat hunched up on a chair in the Reference section of the Steel Canyon University Library, her legs curled round as if she were in some sort of yogic meditation. She was reading a first edition of The Tempest and so engrossed was she in the book that she had failed to notice her tongue stuck out and to the side of her mouth.
She managed to look up as two students entered the silent hall. They didn't look accustomed to the notion of study and one of them was carrying a portable radio. The static alone made Manny Azeerah (aka Whirling Dervish) wince. She reached for the trusty pointer on the desk and tapped it sharply on her desk. A slumbering student woke with a start.
"...storm of unknown origin continues to rage over in Founders' Falls. Citizens are advised to take cover whilst the authorities and the Hero community tackles this unusual problem..."
Manny beckoned over the two arrivals to her station but they weren't the brightest young people she had met. So she resorted to her favourite trick:
Concentrating for a moment, Manny muttered under her breath. The student with the radio looked round suddenly, not entirely sure where the cold blast of air had come from and why, on the edge of his hearing, it had seemed to say, "Please see the librarian at once." Manny smiles as he walked over and, in hushed tones said;
"May I have your radio for a moment, young man?"
"Sure, whatever."
Manny listened for a little longer as a few experts explained why a sudden storm in Founders' Falls was such an odd occurrence. Satisfied, she switched the radio off and handed it back to the student.
"I'm willing to overlook your misdemeanour at bringing a radio to the library if you will do me a small favour." Manny smiled at the boy and continued, "Mind the library for me until Miss Hills gets here. I just remembered that I have an important appointment to attend."
The student nodded, "Sure, cool, whatever." He studied the simple computer behind the desk for a moment,. "This thing got GTA?"
Manny rolled her eyes, not having the slightest idea what 'GTA' was, although she imagined it involved noise of some sort. She looked at her watch, "Miss Hills should be here in an hour. Sit tight and make sure no one tries to steal any books."
And with that Manny picked up the keys to her old motorcycle and sidecar, donned her greatcoat and headed for the faculty parking lot.
I just hope I have enough time...
The clouds churned in on themselves, a swirling mass of black and grey spinning into a single point. The lightning and sleet slowly calmed down, the storm cloud twisting into it's center.
Citizens and heroes alike could only watch as the core of the diminishing hurricane slowly fell towards the ground, a great pillar formed in the middle of Founders Falls.
It hit the ground, erupting into a thick fog through the streets. The sound of thunder came from ground zero, the storm had landed and something came with it.

Nullman had become lost in the vision removing clouds .. with a quick finger to the storm , he turned and returned to the now soggy ground , ..
the roar of the landing thunder refocusing his sense of direction , Nullman set of to find out what the heck was occuring ....
Grunting and getting back up apprently undamaged from the fall of a few hundred foot she looks up and sighs walk calmly towards the centre of the city zone leaping buildings and canals as she heads there, the water not even touching her she comes across a few groups of villians sheltering out of the way but ignores them, more pressing matters have her attention.

The young boy had seen the storm's eye hit the ground and the sudden fog envelope the surrounding area. He blinked as the just that moment incase the fog was something else.
"Mummie.. this isn't good, is it?" He called out sheilding his eyes from the fog.
"OH ok, I'll go there then." He said rushing towards the ground zero.
He might only be a young strange boy, but his "Mummie" was trying it's best to help and tell him what to do. He turned the corner and found himself standing just across from the ground zero, and the odd glowing center of the storm's once eye.
The old motorbike and sidecar sputtered to a stop by the canalside. Dervish removed her goggles, misted up from the fierce rain that had been plaguing the neighbourhood. A few hundred yards away was the centre of the storm. She licked her lips and tasted salt, wet her finger and raised it up to gauge the speed and direction of the wind.
Manny disengaged from the bike and left it parked, confident that only the most obscure enthusiast for old machines would contemplate stealing it. Leaning down over the sidecar she picked up a small leather bag and hooked it over her shoulder. She reached inside her jacket and pulled out a chunky necklace made from polished balls of different wood and kissed it for luck before putting it back in the inside pocket.
"Well, I suppose I had better see what this maelstrom is all about." She mused to herself and strode off towards the scene of the disturbance.
As she walked, Manny made a strange sign with her right hand. Little crackles of magical energy earthed themselves in the ground and a slight wind picked up around her.
The swirling mass stood it's ground, filling the area with a thick fog, thunder crashed from within it's core. Many did not believe what they saw but the churning pillar forced it's presence to be known.
It began to spiral into itself like a twister, then with a rush of air the pillar moved, crawling across the ground on a warpath towards the Vanguard depot. A lone unknown hero flew towards it, the pillar buckled and the hero disappeared into the darkness.
(( Going to sleep now, IC the air anywhere near the pillar is spinning around it as if trying to form a tornado but isn't able to, the bad weather had practically stopped except for no sunlight getting through the clouds. The pillar is moving about as fast as a normal human can sprint but the higher up the pillar you go the more it bends and twists, possibly sucking in any heroes that get too close and throwing them out again at high speeds.))

(( Seeing the uprise of open RP threads left me deciding to start my next plot with open RP, this is taking place in Founders Falls starting at 6am with the sound of thunder at dawn ))
Thunder crashed, winds picking up high in the air as the population slept. Clouds loomed over the war walls from the South-East, the rising sun disappearing behind black clouds. A storm had appeared high above Founders Falls, churning and readying itself to strike.
