Rhode Island Hero's Day
Hmmm.. That's pretty neat! One to stick in the diary.
@FloatingFatMan
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And conveient that it coincides with the game anniversary in May
Mind of Gaia lvl 50 Defiant's first Mind/Storm 'troller.
Deadly Doc 50 Dark/Dark Corr
and lots more on Pinnacle,Union and Defiant
Maybe NCSoft could sponsor the prize, get Miss Liberty to deliver it, and have Providence (clicky) invaded by Skuls on the day?
Come to think of it, take a look at that photo on Wikipedia. Doesn't that remind you just a teensy bit of Founders Falls?
Some interesting coincidences here too...
Is it time for the dance of joy yet?

You want to be a little more specific, DW?
Aside from some places which, frankly, you would see in every town and city in the US (and in some in the UK), I'm having trouble seeing the coincidences.

Oh, perhaps it could been another celebrated badge for those who desire them, and some festivities in game with drinks and funny games and ... well, or just the badge.

Lots of street/suburb names (Silver Lake, The Gaspee, etc), a few architectural styles, and the damn big octopus in the harbour.
Is it time for the dance of joy yet?

Did you read why 'The Gaspee' is named that way? There's a reason why it could easily be mentioned in two places in RI.
And, yes, I noticed all the bog-standard generic-sounding names you'd expect to see in every US town... and the standard New England architecture.
And all New England cities have giant octopi in the harbour. I thought that was general knowledge.

Something to bear in mind for next year, the state of Rhode Island (where Paragon City is supposed to be) actually has an official Hero's Day: [ QUOTE ]
The second Thursday in May shall annually be set apart as a day to be known as "Rhode Island Hero's Day." The day is to be observed by the general assembly in recognition of a Rhode Island resident who has saved a human life and/or performed an act of heroism which merits any recognition determined by joint resolution of the general assembly.

More for the roleplayers than anyone, but I thought it'd be cool to realise that, even in the real world, people are thinking of those who save lives in the Paragon City area.
