I'm afraid I cant check that stat since people arent using the same toons and I don't have S4 Globals (were they around then?) but it seems its a fair number, including a few champions.

I was in S4, and from my teams @matijas was as well (he in fact reactivated his account just to take part in X4 )
@aldwych was too, but he was a cheerleader back then, didn't actually participate in the matches.

Mornin all, it was requested that I do some funky number juggling for X4 similar to my previous S4 coverage so here it is, X4 by numbers, first up the heavyweights.
81% of players are playing heroes the remaining 19% villains
AT Choice
The most common Hero AT's are Scrappers Blasters and Controllers with 13 players each and least common Defender with just 10
The most common villains are Corrupter's with 5 players and least common Dominators Brutes and Stalker with just 2 of each. So it seems only the hero dualers are in vogue with villains preferred only for support. Some AT Ratio's
Blasters 13:2 Stalkers
Controllers 13:2 Dominators
Scrappers 13:2 Brutes
Tankers 4:1 Masterminds
Defenders 2:1 Corrupters
Team Makeup
The most common team being used by 5 teams is a pure hero Defender, Controller, Scrapper, Blaster, Tanker combo.
The least common being used by only one team is Controller, Stalker, Defender, Mastermind, Brute.
As I said above there are 5 pure hero teams there are no pure villain teams and only 1 team where the villains outnumber the heroes/

Teams with 1 hero : 0
Teams with 0 heroes :0
And random fact there are 3 of my former teams mates from S4 in the competition (good luck Knight Stalker, Alex_Hunt and Seriphimus)
