A few malicious players have recently tried to impersonate GMs/NCsoft representatives in-game. Our real GMs were able to locate them and the culprits have now been sanctioned.
A few facts will help you recognise a real GM/ NCsoft representative:
1- A real GM will never ask you for your account details (username or password). Be wary if someone does!
2- A real GM can be recognised by their name preceded by the "GM_" prefix. For instance "GM_Name". This prefix cannot be used by any player.
3- A real GM can be recognised by the colour of their private messages. These messages will be displayed in blue instead of the usual yellow.
4- A real GM will contact you by email before any in-game action is taken, and afterwards to confirm that it has happened.
Should you ever come across a player trying to impersonate a GM/NCsoft representative in-game, please do not hesitate to let us know either by typing "/petition GM Impersonation" in-game, or via the "Ask a question" tab in the Support Centre.
