???? New Archetype ???

Coolio

It may be that they are new, but recently in PvP Zones and allover the rouge Isles I have noted more and more VEAT's knocking about, and i feel its a shame as soo many hero's are excited to get to lvl 50 try their first Epic only to be disappointed by them.

I personally have deleted a lvl 30 PB + Lvl 34 WS.. I'm sure many of you are in the same boat.

SO, Here's My suggestion.

************
Ascended Kheldian
A Lvl 50 PB or WS allows access to a new Archetype. The current toon would be sacraficed and become a level 1 Ascended Kheldian.

With a revamp of powers balanced to match those of the new Widow + Soldier or Arachnos...

Thoughts...

Any breakdown of *any* details at all...beyond vague mentioning of an apparent 'inequality' between HEATs and VEATS?

It's a 'no thanks' from me, but i've no idea what i'm declining...

I have a few Idea's will work on it throughout the day and post here, up to know was a suggestion of balancing.

As for "apparent", take a Widow and a Warshade to RV and see what happens :P

I'd suggest reading this thread.

There's also a thread somewhere pointing out that kheldians are not inferior to the VEATs.

I suspect you, like many others, have fallen foul of Cryptic's bad naming. 'Epic' ATs are not actually supposed to be more powerful than the other ATs. If anything, they are supposed to be more difficult to play, providing a challenge for those who have 'mastered' the game by hitting 50.

Epic-ally difficult to play.

Maybe I am looking at this with a PvP head on, as thats "my Bag" but I don't see HEAT's and VEAT's comparing at all.

I would consider Vill Side Epics far more advanced regardless of the difficulty in playing.

Yes, that discussion has been done and done. As with most things, I think it's a matter of opinion, but I should point out that PvP is very much a minority sport in CoH.

Take a Bane and a PvP PB and see what happens.

I'm open to it, it's just lacking in anything to agree/disagree/build on, atm :P

*shrug* NCSoft won't do it anyway. Any new EAT needs to be accessible to both sides, apparently.

Not me. I have a triform PB at 50, and boy that was alot of fun. My WS is sat at lvl 20 only because I've not entirely decided what way to go and I'm currently having fun with some other characters.

On a logic side I don't think that dev time would be plowed into an AT that can only be unlocked by getting another unlockable toon to 50, which in turn needs a toon that needs to be raised to 50.

From an aestetic point of view I would rather see something completely different. If I were a gambling fellow I would say the next Epic AT we will see will be a Rogue in whatever form it takes. If I were to dare to make a suggestion I'd say that I'd like to see a neutral epic based on Technology (since we have Natural and Science already) - some sort of nanotech-based AT perhaps.
