Problem running the game after latest patch

It seems that CoX doesn't like my video card, it's an Nvidia 8600 GTS. It has happened before that the card wasn't recognized but either the game ran just fine or an update solved it.

This time updating didn't help (drivers from Juli 2008), and after clicking away the errors I'm left with a black screen and nothing happens.

Errors I get are:

You card or driver doesn't support
GL_EXT_compiled_vertex_array

You card or driver doesn't support GL_ARB_multitexture

You card or driver doesn't support GL_ARB_texture_compression

This is an often seen problem and is 99% of the time caused by a bad driver installation; either video drivers or motherboard drivers.

Your best option is to uninstall the drivers, then download Driver Cleaner (you can still get the free version 1.5 if you Google it), and run that in SAFE mode. This will remove all signs of the drivers (the uninstall procedure leaves some junk behind). The reinstall your latest drivers.

It's best to reinstall your motherboard drivers too.
