Base Defences
I came across your post looking for the exact same information you're asking about... wierd how in over 6 months theres been no answer to this. if i come across anything i'll post it here.
Until raiding is allowed again, I guess it doesn't make much difference. Not that I know either. Chances are they do different sorts of damage.
There isnt a chart that I'm aware of as base raiding wasn't heavily used after the combat attributes and power info was availiable. As such until base raiding is turned on again, we won't have these numbers
Scorpions Suprise from memory though is pretty powerful, but you need quite a large generator and control facilities to run those bad boys!!!

B.A.F. Trial Guide
We have the generator, and the control systems (busy SG!), so we've got a nice number of Scorpions' dotted around the place. I'd love to see them in action, though. You can only see them in the base designer, since they're 'hidden' when you come out of it.

I have a suspicion its the elite stonethrower/chaingun, in terms of pure damage, don't quote me on that mind.
So - you've got Scorpion's Surprise, the Improved Igniter, the Rikti Plasma Turret and of course three Mk's of Benedict Turret - but which weapons are best?
The web is covered in prices and 'how to earn' - but no content on the effectiveness of these defences. Anyway...anyone?
