Mini-animation:Inspired by Super-teams&SuperGroups
Looking good - even un-rendered (rendering time sucks - that was always the bit at uni that annoyed me the most)
cant wait to see the finished article
Thanks Bushbaby.
Absolutely agree - waiting for renders to complete is a drag. A lucky consequence of using the Sketch render rather than the full 'Firefly' setting meant that it actually rendered a little faster.
Still took blooming ages though
Not bad, i like it, reminds me of the Justice Leage intro
The energy(?) bolts looked a bit shoop-da-whoopy instead of 'bolts', but i really liked London Ranger's kick, good job!
@MidnightGuard - on Union you may know me as:
Mr. Vile - Electroman X - Zenodorus - Battler
Naga Knight - Stinkspitter
Cheers mate!
Yeah shoop da whoop ...I know what you mean.
Its a side effect of using that 'painted' style of render, doesn't work well on special fx.
I loved the original JLA intro. I was disappointed with the 'Rock guitar' version when it became JLA unlimited.
Very impressive! Got me all inspired.
It takes Chaos to move the world to Action.
Agreed, I enjoyed that.
Welldone London Ranger!.
Well, who would of thought that a few pics and some words to go with them could prove to be such an involving task? Lol!
I suppose it doesn't help if you are easily distracted by other ideas and projects like me
...Anyway, after much delay (and RL getting in the way) I've finally patched together some drawings for the first page or so of London Ranger's comic.
Still need a bit of touching up, but once I get them into a less rough-looking state I'll post them, probably over the next few days.
In the meantime, here's the cover pic to whet your appetite.
Front cover_Band Of Heroes
Oops! Biggish pic so might take a few secs to load
Finally finished up my CGI mini-animation.
Grrr!).
), but the rough, painted look is deliberate (honest!).
I've always loved the idea of heroes teaming up to fight threats too great to tackle alone...
Kind of an homage to comic book & TV super-teams, this features some of mine & friend's toons 're-done' in CGI.
Even a clip this brief still needed to be rendered as several seperate sequences, each of those sequences taking anything from 45 mins to 2 hours to animate (routinely at the end of which you find something hasn't come out right and needs re-doing
Anyway, once the sequences were done I stitched them together in Premiere Elements and added some music.
The animation isn't perfect, and there are a few wonky bits here and there (quite literally!
Unfortunately because I've had to reduce the clip's resolution in order to get the file small enough to be hosted it just comes across as rough!
The original is 800x600 and I may end up sticking it on my own site if I ever get around to making one, as its a bit nicer to look at.
For anyone thats interested, the anim was done solely and entirely in Poser, and using one of the Sketch render settings.
Link:Some toons showing off, yesterday.
Hope you enjoy
