(( Article has been written, pics from a few sources have been forwarded and now the layout is cooking. Ready tonight at some point (with the standard high quality expected from Nightsparrow). ))
((Aww heck. I'll put all three papers on the Wiki! Its good now that we have special pages for the articles. I think I'll choose whichever paper's text works best for the front page though, if thats alright? Also, could I maybe have text-version of these articles, it'll make my work much easier, just copy and paste. ))

'Vanguard achieves a major victory against Rikti' by Caleb Stanford
Incandescent, the leader of Herald (PR division of Vanguard) was personally present in a press conference held for the big news of Earth striking a crippling blow on the Rikti forces.
Vanguard was originally approached by a former licensed hero Ben "Big Lunk" Campbel with a plan that would set the Rikti war effort back for a long time if not put a stop to it altogether. The plan called for a small task force to penetrate several Rikti strongholds and use their own portals to deliver devices to Rikti homeworld which in turn would destabilize their local military forces and finally the task force was to destroy the suspected central Rikti portal that had allowed them to gain reinforcements. The devices were designed and built by Doctor Alexander Helios, the founder of Colossus Labs.
The plan was green-lighted by Vanguard and Big Lunk put together a team consisting of seven other capable individuals. They were Doctor Helios himself, Britanic of now disbanded Militia, Zortel of Unity Vigil, Coile of Silent Tempest, Powerstone from M.A.G.I., Vanguard operative Nightschild and a man going by the name of the Priest. The briefing for the mission was held at 2000 hours Paragon City time and the mission was launched subsequently after a few photos were taken.
The exact details of the several missions that followed one another have been classified as Vanguard secrets but what is known is that in the process several civilians were rescued. The main objective itself was reported to have been achieved with resounding success.
Some members sustained damages that were classed as 'minor' despite unconfirmed reports of mission operatives having been hospitalized. However the team did not survive without permanent losses. Upon arrival to Vanguard base Doctor Alexander Helios was pronounced dead on arrival with no chance of resuscitation. Incandescent called him "a true hero" and remarked that "the resolve of humanity is highlighted against the darkness of losses - we shall not yield".
