Elec/Dark?

I'm fascinated by the idea of a dark ball of fluff shooting red sparks all over, so I rolled a Elec/Dark Brute yesterday without really thinking what I want to do with it.

I'm not asking for builds at this point, but more interested in what neat things you can think you could do with it? Looking at the powers, it seems nice and AoE:y (PBAoE:y even), with some funky control from /Dark side. So, anyone with a Elec/Dark (or who has given it more thought), what should I look forward to when I start getting levels?

PS. In case you happen to run into me, the brute is called Epsilon Patient, on Union.

Well with a good three abilities doing PBAoE knockdown/back (Thunderstrike, Lightning Clap, and Lightning Rod and ), two abilities doing PBAoE disorientate (Oppressive Gloom and Soul Transfer) and one producing AoE Fear (Cloak of Fear) you will probably discover most of the opponents arent attacking you a lot of the time.

The up side to this is that you will have a really high survivability. The down side is that building fury will be a real pain.

I'll be really interested to see what you do with this build.

Yeah, there is a lot of AoE crowd control going on, also Lightning Clap does stun and Thunder Strike has a 50% of stun, so combined with Oppressive Gloom it should be quite reliable in PvE.

Fury might be a problem, but will have to see about that when things start piling up. I think I prefer the idea of survival over fast fury buildup in this case.

I feel as though (for a Brute) that Oppressive Gloom and Cloak of Fear are best used as panic buttons when things get too bad, thereby keeping your fury flow big, and if things get out of hand, by that time you'll have decent fury to keep you going while you clear the mezzed mobs.

That's how I leveled my SS/DA at least.

Solo you'll want to leave some of the /DA stuff off but oppressive gloom and cloak of fear can both be on while you tank for an 8 person team with full fury... bring a /kin though.
