PS also have seen people tank AVs with it, obviously has to be a non Psi AV but it does work. Me I'd stick to the overpowered IH for that but hey, different strokes for different folks

I used to tank AVs with MoG in Issue 5 with very few problems. These days they have 50% more acc when MoG'd so it isn't quite as easy. I find that IH can't keep up with an AV's burst damage and it doesn't usually have a long enough duration.

And keep that 'overpowered' talk down! Don't want a dev to see it (not that they ever visit the EU boards, that is)...

+ Psionic Damage: That's Carnies, Arachnos, Rikti, Rularru and Psi Clockwork. Plus CoV's CoT "Succubus".

+ Toxic Damage: That's Banished Pantheon, Vahzilok, Hydra, Arachnos, Rularuu, Preatorians.

+ Autohit/+tohit: Rularru, KoA, CoT (Demon Auras/Crystals), Nemesis (Vengence) and DE (Quartz/Swarms).

When do you get access to MoG? Level 38.
What mobs are you fighting at level 38+? Can't speak for CoV, but in CoH it's nearly everything listed above plus Crey (which only last until level 40) and Malta, which nobody likes anyway.

Some of those little Preatorian robots you encounter also do considerable -defence, as do Rularuu Brutes.

So basically, when you have access to MoG, you have to always be very, very careful about using it. Personally I don't see any use for it in a normal /regen build apart from as an excuse to take revive!

They don't do Psionic damage. Their Hold, Entrance, has the animation of Dominate but it does not do damage.

Only fought them a few times and that was on a MM so I wasn't paying much attention to the damage type...

Madness Mages and Possessed Scientists do Psi Damage according to that page though!

As a player that hasn't really explored scrappers fully to the higher lvls (I team with them lots and buff them lots, so I'm always in awe but not made it there myself yet) I don't think I'll be able to resist (eww, poor pun) taking MoG on my MA/Regen when it's time. I mean, come on - don't scrappers spend most of their lives looking forward to their god mode? To me, it's sorta like a blaster going 32 lvls and then avoiding their nuke. Ok sure, perhaps Elude is better or perhaps none of these are as god-like as we expect, but I'm taking MoG for sure. Not experiencing it, at least for a few lvls before respecing out, would be such a shame!

I might be stating the obvious but don't forget that although MoG drops your health to 20% of your max health their are ways to make it better. I always use Dull Pain first as a nice boost to max hp. Then there are accolades to increase max hp and of course we now have inventions that also increase max hp. All these ways can make your MoG "experience" a bit better.

The power is HIGHLY situational, I have it purely as a filler power slotted with 1 recharge and have only Ever really used it Once, (to save a team wipe).
In the right situations it is great, but for me they are too few and far between.
The only thing I can offer as advice is take it and try it, But have a spare respec ready just in case.

I took MoG on my Regen Scrapper (38 now), I used it a few times before slotting to test it out. Died fairly quickly, but this was just testing

I've 1 slot (1st of an IO set) in it now to bump it up a bit, I can last a good while in a fight now with it activated.

I have witnessed situations where Regen scrappers hit MoG & were the only survivers in a near full team wipe.

I've seen a Regen use Revive then MoG after a wipe & clear the rest of the room while others were rez'd.

It is situational, but so are lots of powers!!!

I hear people saying the problem is it reduces you to 20% of max health. Why is that a problem if your hitting it when your below 25% health?

I'd advise you ignore everyone, take it & make your own decision, but give it till level 40 to test it properly! Some people will always hate powers that others love, thats life.

PS: Its always a bit of entertainment in an easy mission to hit MoG & watch the frustrated healer trying to 'save' you
