Illudra's Biography.
It was obvious from a young age that Stephanie Texel was born with powerful psychic powers. She could project the twisted images in her head forth and place them in the minds of others as well as provide an aura of mental fortitude. As she finally grew out of adolescence and her powers fully manifested, the Circle of Thorns decided it was time Stephanie became one of them. They attacked the Texel household, but Stephanie conjured up her psychic thoughts and the images in her head. She fought the Circle, mentally breaking some of the mages, but overexerted herself and fell unconscious. Stephanie woke up a week later in Independence Ports Bell Point Hospital only to be told by Aurora and Sister Psyche that the Circle had managed to escape with her parents. Vowing revenge, Stephanie now fights for justice as Illudra, in the hopes that one day she will find her parents alive.

I was surprised to receive you email as I have only recently come out as having powers, and only to my closest colleagues here at the precinct. At first I thought it was one of the guys yanking my chain, but Ive checked you out and am intrigued by your proposal.
Im at a bit of a crossroads, I want to stay on the force, its been my dream to be a cop like my dad since I was a little girl. But I also feel I have a responsibility to use my powers for good and am considering applying for a transfer to the psi division or even applying for a hero licence myself.
Perhaps you can help me find out where these abilities came from and how best to use them. It happened one day about 18 months ago. A skull pulled a gun on me and I instantly thought of drawing my gun to take him down. But before my hand touched my weapon, he hit the dirt. It was as if just thinking about hurting him sent some sort of invisible force from my brain. Theres more stuff that I just dont understand but Ill wait until we meet to tell you about that.

((Ok first session didn't go brilliantly, my fault, won't be inviting random people next time who know nothing about RP especially guys who look like tacky knock offs of fantastic four characters. Today was full of anxiety and excitement, The research project went in full swing, we even had some last minute members join. It fillsme with pride to see the local hero population heed the call for one in need and I hope together we can all learn and grow from the experience. Now when I asked Positron to set a challenge for us I didn't realise that he was going to give us such a big one. Circle mystics, clockwork droids and putrid vahzilok were not really what I had on mind, I guess I should not of assumed that he would just send us to a few skull warehouses. Next time I will have to explain to Positron exactly what time constraints mean, as we could not complete all his challenges in one day, the university will be furious with me, but science is science, we will continue in a couple of days and see if we can get to the bottom of this crisis

A new device arrived at my office this morning, a transdimensional transducer. I ordered it week ago and it only just arrived. Steven, my ever helpful lab assistant was a little too eager though and "accidentally" warped me to another dimension. It took me too a strange place with what only could be described as meteors that orbit one and other. These were populated with what looked like floating eyeballs and massive blue humanoids that did not look friendly. It took me most of the day to get out of there, eventually I did with the help of a fellow called Faathim the kind, although he was a little heavy handed and the portal home he created blew out my office and destroyed transdimensional transducer, the faculty was hardly pleased, lots of groveling to do tomorrow. (new transducer ordered should arrive in 6-12 weeks)

Applied for my own labratory space in a small place in Steel Canyon, This can help further my research plus I don't have to worry about blowing out any of the Universities buildings. The board of directors agreed and so I set up a small place. All members of the project can use this area and hopefully I will be able to populate it with items useful to what we are doing. Note to self, do not attach cranial capacity directly to power optimising grid, it may blow out Steven's mind next time he tries to use it. *the last sentance is scribbled out*

What a day, so much happened I hardly know where to begin. Finally finished the challenge set by Positron, afterwards had a few words with him about over exaggerating my request, but knowing him as I do, he does seem to like dragging things out. The results I got from the implants were intresting, especially Ms Summers who made remarkable development during the past days, will have to keep my eye on her. Should take me a few days to fully comprehend the data but it sure looks promising. The board were also impressed with the preliminary results which should look good for my next budget review. Now to get ready for what Mr Synapse has for us, hopefully will not take a leap out of the book of his cyber-armoured friend.

I'm sorry for cancelling our meeting, The second invasion has thrown the Universities spending into haywire. Since the attacks have seemed to stop now, The university has begun funding outside projects again. Ours have taken priority due to the benefit the research will give heroes who pushed themselves too far during the invasion. So Synapse has agreed to challenging us again. The time will now be Thursday 16th August at 7pm. Unfortunatly the war has had its casulties. We have to say a fond farewell to Steven........'s Mug, it was knocked off the table during one of the earthquaking bombing runs, as you can imagine Steven is devastated so I would like to do this challenge in its name, it'll be sadly missed.

*You recieve a video file attachment to an e-mail. The e-mail is a request for help. You open up the attached file. The camera focuses on a laboratory, several on going experiments are seen bubbling away, scorch marks are visible on some of the work tables coupled with a fire extinguisher that has been recently used. A man enters the frame wearing a lab coat, he has distinctive blue and white hair and is wearing blast goggles*
"Aha, hello folks, my name is Professor Frost, Jonas Frost and I work here. Now I suppose you wondering what I've contacted you about, well its great that... What is it Steve, what do you mean "Where's here?" you know exactly where here is... What do you mean they don't, who's they? *he looks at the camera* Oh them! Sorry, I'm doing my research here at Paragon University, but what research I hear you ask *He pauses... he gestures at the camera... * Well I'm glad you asked, you see I have inherent Mutation powers, my family has a history of them...and of being heroes anyway your not here for a history lesson, what I'm interested in is how people recieve and develop their powers. Most people when zapped by a bolt of lighting or expose themselves to radiation, generally don't live long enough to regret the mistake, so why do so many survive, donn bright costumes and call themselves vigilantes? I am trying to catalogue as many differant superpowered beings as I can find.
To see how the subjects powers develop you must put the specimens under extremes. This is why I submit a request to you, to help form a Supergroup to help me find out. I have the necessary paperwork here somewhere *Fumbles around until picking up a registration form with a noticable coffee ring* all good and official, don't really want Longbow breathing down my neck, now we will be participating in a series of set challenges devised by members of the Freedom Phalanx. The first one of which is given out by Positron. We will be joined on this quest by one of my fellow scientists, strange case infact. He was researching in some ancient temple, picked a sword off an alter and it granted him superpowers, what are the chances. Problem is it also gave him the personalities of all those who wielded the sword before him, very difficult to have a conversation with him to say the least.
Back to the matter at hand, now you see budget and time contraints are tight so I can only afford six others to join me on this project and it will be up to these individuals to be at the required power levels for the challenges we face, though I will give you suitable time to reach these levels. Now for those trandimensional entities, you know who you are, this is taking place in the universe called "Union" whatever that means.
Now for the really facinating part, these are the devices I'm going to be using, now this funny looking device is called a thrombic modulater, a device that measures..."
