{VIDEO} Giant Killers
Now that google video is finally working - Lo-fi Version
73 views and nobody has an opinion?
That is some funkey music, and you timed the video well to it.
Only watched the low fi one so couldn't comment on quality
It's not running away. It's advancing in reverse!
Not the kind of music that I normally like I'm afraid. not sure that the Ice blaster fighting the skulls was within the theme for the movie.
Some nice panning and camera movement (especially getting Eochai against the tree branches). I'd suggest getting a good angle letting the action play then panning to another place for more action...rather than doing a lot of moving from one place to another let the viewer get used to each angle. Long Shot - Move - Long Shot is less disconcerting than Short Shop - Move - Short Shot - Move - Shorts Shot - Move - Short Shot. But as you were going for a more action based film it's fine.
Ummmm. Yeah.
Low-fi version....hurts. It hurts a lot, mostly because we all play the game and KNOW how good those visuals should be. I tried to get the original link to play, but after 15 minutes of it trying to load something, I figured it was broken. Either that or I had been sucked into a time machine to a time when internet video took an eternity to load (probabbly 1999 I think).
I like the music and from the Low-fi I think that I might like it...its just too...low. No offense, but you did ask for our feedback.

@InZane Cheers for the comment
@Captain_cathode Yeah I hear what you're saying, as I say, first video, but I will take those suggestions on board, I wasn't too sure about the ice blaster bit, maybe if the track had a bridge in it, but my ethos creatively is move forward so I'll leave it, otherwise I'll just spend too long editting everything else lol. Thinking of doing a more dynamic track next time, so chance to mix and match shot styles, should be interesting I guess!
@OhGodTheRats Hmm not sure what happened with that link the time you tried, seems to be working fine for me, bit of a sucky download rate I'm afraid as the site is in the US which would explain why it couldn't stream for you, but when I finally get around to building my new server (for anyone who's geeky enough to care :
Asus K8N-DL Dual opteron e-atx board
2gb 400Mhz DDR ECC Registered ram
Dual Core Opteron 1.8Ghz (second to be added later)
5 x 250gb Sata II Maxtor drives (in Raid 5 config)
Based in the UK on a decent host (anyone know any?)
To be, hopefully, hosting both streaming audio and the website, but I digress, lol.
And yes, google video's lo-fi on that one hurts badly, I really don't understand, I uploaded a high-quality mpeg-2 file and I got that ... but nm, all the more reason to download the vid! (which should work, just try again)
@All Thanks for the comments! I feel like all the time has been vindicated now, rendering on a single core Athlon 2800+ hurts , but yeah, watch this space ! and keep em coming
Maybe host it on Youtube, the smaller screen size helps with lower quality footage, where as Google takes up your whole screen.
It's not running away. It's advancing in reverse!
It's currently being processed by stage6.divx.com so I shall have to see what the qual is like on there and update the link
New lo-fi link - http://tag28.livedigital.com/content/1653360 , theres a 480 x 360 or 640 x 480 to chose from now.
Very good Video loved the music and I hope you continue the good work

My first video ... more concerned about the audio than the video. Looks ok to me, what do you guys think?
