Tournament #2- Defiant League: Your Views?

Hey there Defiant,

Yup, I said I'd leave the whole tournament hosting business alone for a while after the first Defiant League tournament went bust; but after looking back on the A8PM tournament and some of the threads over on PvP/Arena, it looks like Defiant could use with another tournament desipte the other one going completely haywire, to be honest I'm not going to let one bad experience drag me away from what i like doing. But here's how I want it to work; instead of me dictating the guidelines to you, I'm going to leave this as an open thread for a week for any players interested to submit anything they would like to see! Yep, absolutely anything you can think of, then if I see any suitable (and realistic) ideas I'll set it up in the new year!

The only things I want to dictate to you is that it'll be in the Pocket D arena and open to heroes and villains, and I would prefer seeing a team-based tournament. So around those guidelines, give me your contributions on what you would like to see!

I'd like to see a Team Tournament, maybe no more than 2 of a any AT. Gives a bit more freedom (Example a group of friends may mainly play Support and only have on offense, so they could go Scrapper, Controller, Defender, Defender).

Other than that, 10 Minute Fight, Tactical Start (maybe?).

Weightband at 40, might encourage more Villainous players to join too.

As long as the tourney wont be on upcoming weekend Im anxious to take part. I'd also like to see a team tourney, but we'd either need some time to make up the teams or make the teams on the fly on tourney day. I still think the random team tourney some time ago was a good format.

I still don't have lvl 40 villains (although my stalker is on a roll atm) so I'm a bit biased for wanting a lvl 30 tourney. With my blaster I'm ready for whatever lvl we do it.

Actually I might be able to talk SG mates into doing team pvp sometimes. As long as its not too often ( I still think that daily fight nights were too much. A weekly fight night might work)

This, with (unless anyone has any other ideas) four man teams? That way it's small enough that a good few teams could probably enter, but large enough to still be interesting.

Meh, not Tactical Start. I know that it's automatically put on if you rate the fights, but it really skews fights in favour of teams with a lot of +recovery buffs since a blaster can rush another team and pick up two or three kills before the other team are even toggled up properly.

This. Plus it takes out the hilariously unbalanced Epic/Patron pools.
