Broadsword and Dark Armour

Hey, I'm a total "newb!" but my bro has gotten me addicted to this game ( you know him as Bandit 701 or Lucus).

So off he goes and I decide to make a charictor, randomaly chose some powers and hit the street. Now i love the powers I chose, and am really finding my feet with them. But then I've looked around, and discoverd that I'm pretty unique with these powers. Is there a reason that Dark Amour is not normally used with Broadsword? I find them a nice combination.

Just asking for some input really as this is my first toon

they work ok together, like any sets, but theres no special synergy.

big drawback is that both sets are very intensive in endurance, and this will cost you later on, as you will have to build more towards endurance reduction, which costs you accuracy and damage.

I have found that, during a mission, I have to rest alot, not for health, but for my End. So alot of my DA is slotted with End reduction. I guess Stamina is what I should be aiming for next then?

You're not alone out there, I can assure you. But yes, us 'Dark Knights' (as I like to call the combination) are rare. You'll struggle with endurance earlier on, so learn to manage your toggles, don't keep up ones you don't need. Once you hit SOs and Stamina though it will take care of a lot of your problems, certainly when teaming.

Cool, I really like that name "Dark Knights". you should start a SG with just Dark Knights in.

I've started getting DO's and they seem to help abit. This is all new to me, so I'm stumbling around at the moment

We all stumble around at first, just check out the thread on n00b moments, we still stumble even after many months of playing.

My first character was Katana/Dark Armour and learning to juggle all those toggles was a lesson in patience and then some. But if you're looking to lay down the hurt, Broadsword owns. Once you get SOs and Stamina, you'll find it much easier. Keep going.

I have to say I can't really claim originality for the name, I read it in an old BS/DA guide on the US forums and really liked it, so I kept using it.

It takes a while to get used to, but I've found once you hit higher levels it turns out to be a well balanced combo, able to mookinate (with Death Shroud, Slice, Whirling Sword and Dark Regen to keep you standing) almost as well as the traditional single target killing BS scrappers are so famed for. Of course everyone has their own play styles and it can be versatile enough build to take into any direction you want

Cheers guys

I'm getting used to turning on and off powers, my death shroud used to agro everyone I ran past when I first started, not knowing what agro was.
