When herding +lvls more taunt slots would be nice as foes would be easily picked out of your aura, and its nice to be as remembered as you can whilst herding with impatient/never seen a tank before, players in the team.

in order to tank effectively from as low level as possible you need mezz protection asap its ok if someone proactively buffs you but not much helps against kb at low level, i wouldnt level up on this build order, the end redux id move elsewhere too.

wot balaban forgot to say was that he is now L38 - and he is now repseccing outhis lesser armours as it were.
in general would agree with Shannons comments. I would take Rcok armour, Stone skin, Rooted, Earths Embrace, MudPots and taunt ASAP and when they come available. Obviuosly Shannon's comments abt levelling with this particualr build order are valid for those new to stone tanking - I wouldnt either lol.
Dont know enough abt Mace to comment abt recharge lengths - but i am stone/fire - find the 3 slotted hasten invaluable.
Health - my build was unchanged from L32 onwards (although I am over due one) - had this 3 slotted pre-granite, along with fighting pool, cos I found stone tanks pretty squishy before (plus I am a lousy tank
). Guess now that I am L49 - can take out enh slots from this?
Mudpots - I hav 3 dam 2 End Red 1 Taunt. But prob 2 taunts prob would be better - esp.ly with team tanking.
Earth's Embrace - I hav same slotting. Only time i ever had a problem with heatlh was with Carnies (*shakes fist*)

Fiddlesticks. I never PvP with my tank and hasten is on auto everytime else except when Im tanking Hami.
Ps. Health is worth 3 slots on a tank.

On Whirling Mace I'd be tempted to remove the Dis Orientates for damage, the disorientate isn't very reliable at all, if you want to use that for PVP I'd go for clobber but be warned damage is neglible. Mace recharges aren't massive and I'd be tempted to move Jawbreaker further down the pecking order as It's pretty good damage. I'd take Hasten as well to counteract granite to a certain extent. I didn't take Shatter either as it does knockback which tankers don't really want. def six slot Earth's Embrace. Ravenhart Lev 50 Tanker Inv /War Mace.

Just measure a timescale larger than that of hastens recharge. I can't imagine it not increasing the DPS, affecting dull pain recharge, unstoppable recharge, all attacks+taunt recharge. Since hasten has no drawbacks other than endurance. Of course it is sustainable effect, as long as you look at large enough picture. And quite frankly I can't tolerate war mace when hasten is not running.

Which is why i actually dont consider haste a good option to have as a must for powers that are of low recharge, id sooner have low recharge powers tweaked to what i prefer them to be so that when haste isnt there it isnt a problem.
Only in long recharge powers do i have a purpose for haste. For my taunt or attack chain to rely on haste would be not good (plain dumb imo) because of when haste drops, which is why i said:

Pls note the "imo" and in pvp you can use haste when it is a good time for high burst damage and not when your standing around waiting or travelling around a zone looking etc. But I guess you are right in applying logic to DPS in PVE but i wouldnt need haste for my taunt to be good or to actually 'have' an attack chain, when i meant not good i meant not worthy to be relied upon. Your DPS can increase overtime i agree.

Well I would like that too but I don't believe thats going to happen . I've been saying that mace animations, activations and recharges need tweaking before you even started this game..
Before i started this game? I bought it when it came out live and didnt register on these forums till after my 3rd 50. When i meant tweaked i mean slotted by me a certain way. The only time i have played /mace was during that weekend on testserver when we could level up to 40. I made an invuln/mace as its lowest dps, then i went into warburg got a mission and went through them rather nicely like i would any tank. Dropping damage slots if necessary for recharge slots due to secondary effects of the set wouldnt of bothered me much especially as longterm dps is the same however my endurance would of needed looking at so i might devise a more arcane attack chain compared to the one i have on superstrength.
Mace is basically Axe for action times but has slightly better recharge times and more secondary effects that help with survivability which you need as your more likely to be in the fight for longer due to less damage. Your hardly going to be disorientating mobs for concept and just as damaging as axe. I am one of those people that looks at clobber and says what a handy power to have than it does no damage->get rid, I am like "whose best to use it on?".
