Semi-RP SG forming if people are interested

hey there, i am thinking about starting a villain but have been put off cause of the lack of RP (i know CT but there is something about it i don't like, srry red) just a couple of questions...
Ok sounds funny but how many male/female characters in the SG? not as much fun if ALL male or ALL female? specially in rp.
Will this be an evil, everyone hate eachother kinda SG, the evil magic could go this way, competing for power etc. or are we allowed to have friends and still be villainous lol?
Do all characters need to be 'prophets' and stuff... i like evil characters yeah but i was thinking something slightly different, i know it is an obscure question but

Will be thinking bout this hard since this will be my last alt, i really don't think i should have too many, plz don't think cause i have posted means i am a definite joiner, just wondering bit further about it, also past 9:00 most nights i won't be on villain
I'll not be joining you, but I'd like to point out that Union is the unofficial RP server.
Advantage of being on Defiant: RPers are more likely to have slots free
Disadvantage of being on Defiant: Less chance of meeting other RPers or RP-SGs

Others I know are Fletched Alliance and The Silent Tempest but I have no links for their webpage.
On Villain side, I assume?
The only RP SG I know there is E.V.I.L. or Evil. I can never remember which is which. There was the clocktower meets for general RP, but I don't know if that has ended now.

Thanks guys - that is very useful. Made my first Union toon last night, and will see if he creates an intriguing enough draw to keep me from playing my level 26 Brute. 26 may not seem much to you vets, but ist my highest ever by 10 levels, and that is something sentimental.

The chanting increased in volume, the arcane words cutting a path through the incense fogged chamber.
The robed acolytes swayed in precise ritualistic formulae, their arms waving and their bodies swaying in time to a rhythm unfathomable to normal man, a rhythm that required a grip on sanity not entirely human to appreciate.
A shape began forming above the altar, coalescing above the remaining life blood from the most recent sacrifice offered on that brown stained block of marble. Before long, a swirling disc of dark mist had come into being, sucking in the power of the eldritch chants, the clouds of incense, and the very warmth of the mortals in the room into its maw.
A hollow voice echoed forth from the midnight void, its mere sound sucking the life from the three worshippers closest to it, their forms falling rigid to the floor.
Bring forth my Herald
A fearful murmur broke out from the now silent acolytes, their forms locked into positions of supplicance and reverence. The heavy iron doors opened, seemingly without prompting, the seals and wards glowing red with malevolent power.
A massive figure entered now, its face hooded, its form rippling with muscles. It walked towards the dark altar, priests scurrying out of its way. It knelt before the dark cloud, bowing its head in respect and obedience.
I am here my master. Instruct me as to your will. The figures voice fit well with its form, dripping with power and hate.
It is time for a new move in the game my Herald. Gather around you diverse helpers. Lead them in mundane criminal endeavour, shape them to be instruments of my will. Too long have we dwelt in the shadows, it is time to seize our rightful place in the hierarchy of power.
The Herald remained kneeling, awaiting the words of its master.
I will cause various powers to seek out your association. Test them, evaluate them, and if they prove worthy, allow them the honour of wearing my sigil. I also instruct you to work alongside Arachnos. Lord Recluse has made bargains that he does not yet understand, and more than one stands close to him who will prove of aid to our goals.
I will instruct you more at a later date. Until you hear different, gather the worthies that I have mentioned and forge them into a powerful fits. The time is at hand, my Herald. The game moves into a new phase.

Hi all,
I am a new CoX player who considering forming a semi-RP orientated villainous SG on the Defiant server.
The SG, which will be called the Hand of Acheron, will be lead by my main character, Herald of Acheron. I have a few friends who will be joining with their mains and alts if I form this group.
This post is basically to evaluate interest in such a group. Being that myself and my friends are all new to the game (3 months or less playtime), and none of us have a character over the mid-levels, we would be looking for several experienced members to either bring their mains or to make alts for our group and provide some guidance.
The Hand of Acheron is a themed SG in that we only accept characters of Magic, Mutant, or Natural origins. There will be a heavy magical motif in flavour. Any AT will be accepted.
We will not be a hardcore RP guild, what is expected is acting in character to some extent in public (depending on your preference) and certainly at any RP events we will hold. You will not be dealt with harshly if you speak OOC, but you will be encouraged to stay IC if practical.
If this takes off, I will arrange a web presence and forums for the SG. The main SG chat will be out of character for the most part. The main part of the RP will be a suitable concept that is stuck to and taken seriously no day-glow pink girlies in tight mini skirts does not really fit with the worshippers of a dark power now does it?
Since we will be starting from scratch, we will be enforcing an in SG mode for our guys until level 30, but after that its voluntary, although strongly encouraged for 1 on 4 or 5 missions to be done in SG mode.
So, just gauging interest at the moment. Let me know if you would be up for joining this sort of SG. ]
