Its more a -perception or a lets ninja to mission objective thing however with the more highly defensive sets or made to be more defensive it can make a difference in a tohit calculation granting them a lot more survivability. I dont have it on a single toon i may have it on my ninja mm for concept though.

Also should be noted that Grant Invis is usually taken as a route to Invisibility and/or Phase Shift if the person isn't keen on having both Stealth and Invisibility. Pretty much like if you're going for Invoke Panic from Presence, you'll need to go through Challenge or Provoke. Both which are powers that you will, as a Defender, use even more rarely than Grant Invisibility...

I must be missing something.
I'm in a tossup whether to dump Grant Invis for the Presence pool and make for Invoke Panic.
So far, I've made my teammates translucent, and given them a pathetic defence bonus.
No team I've been on so far has cared about stealthing, they just want to kill things.
I've turned teammates who've popped res-pills invisible, so they could rest in battle in safety. I think that's the most use it's been so far.
It probably allows them first strike. But then, they get that anyway.
Can someone please tell me what I'm missing?!? What use is Grant Invisibility???
