Yes it will. At the early lvls it's a really nice way to get some damage out... infact, you will hit harder than a scrapper

it doesn't seem that good on my storm defender I have to admit. Mostly I just use it for the stealthy bit... in PvP it can be quite good because if you face people without +per you can almost surprise the nme when your entire team appears out of the shadows

no idea... it sounds like a way to collect debt to me... thinking if you run with hurricane up won't it be hardish to use things like AS/Punch etc?

[/ QUOTE ]AS will be useful, punch is quite low damage, tough is worthless. Rather just get your ST and AoE immobilizes, and fire epic, if you want to do damage.

Steamy Mist is definately worth it. First you get the stealth which with super speed will be as invisibility. Second you will have some very nice resistances in it.
Would personally always go for it.
AS could be handy at lowerlvl...especially since Ice is the controller primary with the least damage but would personally not take it...too many other good powers to take

In regards to the Dominator bit, I imagined running Arctic Air, Steamy Mist and Hurricane, using my AoE Immob to set up containment then using AS and either Punch or Kick to put lumps on people.
I will get AS at lvl 6 and see how I get on. If I can get that recharging quickly enough and it does enough damage I'll skip the Fighting Pool.
On the face of it Steamy Mist also seems like a reasonable investment given the Res, the stealth and the resistance to Confuse.
In regards to Archy, I know what you mean about being spoilt for choice. I like Fly though (having found TP a nightmare and SJ not accurate enough) and this would be my chossen travel power.

Arctic Air is very end hungry and Steamy Mist and Hurricane isnt exactly light on end either + you will have a difficult time running Hurricane with Arctic Air because of the repel effect in Hurricane....I would personally pick Hurricane over Arctic Air...but thats really up to your individual playstyle

Nope, a Blaster's defiance works on inherent powers such as Brawl.

Nope, a Blaster's defiance works on inherent powers such as Brawl.
[/ QUOTE ]Ah, true, but defiance works a bit differently, since it doesn't affect the powers directly, but rather grants the blaster a damage buff.
I would not skip Arctic Air. It's the best power in the set imo. Ice/Storm is more control than you could possibly wish for. Most of the time soloing (edit: and grouping to be honest) you can just get away with running SM and AA and then moving in for the kill, hitting frostbite and then taking things down one by one and later using Jack, tornado, LS and whatever AoE damage you pick up from your epic.
AA is really that good. Combined with frostbite it is perma aoe confuse, available at low level. I slotted 2 end 3 confuse.
Definately take AS and slot it up. If you do solo then that's all the damage you can do pre-Jack and even from 32-35 soloing is just too slow to even consider it. Jack often stands 20 feet away throwing ice bolts very slowly. Once you get tornado though it speeds up considerably. I don't have it myself but recall friend would speed up soloing a lot 32-35 as you can force Jack into melee range regularly without having to resummon him, which is on a very long timer.
