Secundum Terra (Open Roleplay)
Out of Character
Seemed like a good idea to lay out the guidelines so that no-one gets confused on how this project could work:
You are perfectly welcome to run your own storyplot, but there will always be a central plot running every week.
This way, anyone who wishes to partake in central plots are less likely to miss out.
This week, Secundum Terra fights in Warehouse 17.
If you have an idea for central storyplots, let a GM know. (Pious or Blindsight)
You can choose one character to become out of the following category:
Heroes (Who refuse to ally with Villains in this struggle)
Villains (Who simply seek personal gains or refuses to ally with Heroes in this struggle)
Hero/Villain Coop (Who were able to set aside their differences in this struggle i.e the Secundum Terra faction)
Rebel Civilians (Who rightly suspected the Core Cities but live in fear (or awe) of the super-powered)
Super Soldiers (Of the One-World Government, genetically manipulated to wipeout the super-powered and HUB)
Giant Monsters (Who walk the apocalyptic earth)
(HUB) Androids (Who are designed with enhanced duplicates of super-powered abilities)
(HUB) Mechanical Units (Forty feet tall and equiped with machine gun fire, explosive and incendiary missiles)
(HUB) Special Operatives (Trained civilians of the Core Community who volunteered to fight the super-powered)
Core Community Police (Who patrol the Core Cities maintaining order with brutal force)
Core Community Priests (Who pastor the Core Community with false imagery of a utopian world using Electrical Magnetic Pulses within the country-sized alien domes; which are in truth, portable prisons)
Core Community Civilians (Under dosage of EMP mind control)
It's actually more dramatic to jump into the action and introduce who you are as the story goes on, but feel free to post a bio OOC or IC.. your choice.
If you have any questions, dont hesitate to ask. Enjoy!
Oh, and common sense says dont god-mod.. which means you must have some sort of weakness and allow others around you to choose their reactions.
Common Example: Mer'de swings a punch at Blindsight is proper as opposed to Mer'de knocks out Blindsight!
And lets keep the gore to a minimum.. example: Farin digs his blades through the android and watched him fall. Should be as bad as violence gets.. know what I mean?
Lastly, you can write others into your post/story, but strictly with their approval only.
[Guidelines written with Blindsight]
[through the burning hole in the wall i hear gunshots and falling bodies, that blindsights a goodshot]
[leaning hard against a group of boxes i survey the destruction, i hear the distortion of a radio near one of the fallen bodies i pick it up and hear]
"northern cell, western cell has been demorilized make your entrance."
"eastern cell, head to the western hole and renforce keep the mechs at distance"
[on that i hear sound of crunching boots in unison the eastern cell was coming nearing me. i pick up one of their rifles, seems pretty standard stuff, cocking it and leaning against the crates waiting]
[at that moment i spot some projectiles on the belt of a fallen andriod, they look like grenades, silver ovals and seem to stick to surfaces and a detonator show that eastern cell what real soldiers are like]
[sticking the grenades under the androids clothing, clutching him in one hand rifle in the other, i am ready]
[An explosion in the wall behind him sent Blindsight hurtling across the room. Crashing into one of the wooden support beams, the roof above him slowly started to crumble. Gasping for air Blindsight reached up to grab some support only to find the cold endoskeleton of an android standing above him.]
Only human.
[Reaching down the android grabbed Blindsight by his neck raising him high into the air. The collapsing roof dwarfed the sound of crushing bone. Kicking off the androids chest Blindsight slid along the floor evading the falling rubble. Grabbing his pistols he lay on the ground aiming at the smoke surrounding the rubble. In a split second the pile of rubble was crushed into the floor as a foot from one of the mechs came ripping through the ceiling.]
[the crunch of boots in unison came round the corner, these freaks and their machines dont know what him them. at the top of my lungs i exclaim]
"FOR KING AND COUNTRY!"
[take aback slightly,i breathe deep and hurl the body at them, sending the the 1st row careering into the 2nd, and then i press the detonator]
[the ground shakes as explosion rips apart the body they are clustered on and the surrounding androids, 4 left not phased by the ground shake samson picks up the rifle and proceeds to hit home with every bullet, a grizzled veteran of rifle combat]
"they aint so tough"
[propping his rifle up against the boxes, he reaches down for another cigarette, and then a deaffening thud of moving metal knocks him back, and then a crash into the building behind leaves him covered in debris.]
In the midst of the chaos, a small child stood along the horizon. His stillness was absolute as he watched the battle from the distance.
An android decloaked directly in front of him. He knelt down to face the five year old, soaked from head to toe, in blood.
"Hey kid, you alright?"
No response.
"Er listen, you can't be here.. where's your camp? Where's your home?"
A second android decloaked. Then another, and another.
"Phillip, take the child to sector twelve, have him scanned for abnormalities then follow the necessary procedures"
"Yes sir"
The android bent low to collect the small child. As he swoops, his arms began to ache.
"Sir, my arms.. I.. aaah" he screamed in pain as he both his arms exploded in a shower of dust.
"Destroy him!"
About a dozen more androids decloaked around the child.
"Affirmative"
A hundred bolts of energy, fire, ice and electricity thundered about the scene. Androids were killing each other.
The figure clad in black armor gets on his feet and realize that he's been spotted by another one of the giant machines. Someone behind him inside the warehouse that has begun to collapse yells "FOR KING AND COUNTRY!".
Distracted by the battle cry he looks in the direction from where the shouting is heard only to get hit in the chest right next to the shoulder by a missile from the giant mecha.
If you were close enough you could have heard him say "Always in the f*****g shoulder" as he's sent flying into the warehouse, crahing into the wall on the other side. A support beam that is hanging loosely in the cieling suddenly snaps loose and falls down on him, pinning him to the floor and breaking the visor on his helmet.
Unable to lift the weight of the support beam and unable to swing his arms hard enough to slice the beam in half, his now naked eyes can only watch as the giant mecha was coming closer dangerously fast, waving a huge machine gun in his general direction.
((EDIT: Some typos and some minor details))
((I'm going away tomorrow so if Pious and blindsights guidelines are followed and this battle ends at the end of the week, I won't be there for it. As my character is in a bit of trouble (it seems like all of us are atm =P ) feel free to rescue him in whatever fashion you feel like and whoever feels like doing so(You can ofcourse leave him to die ending his 30 year crimefighting career by getting sprayed to dust by some hundred-and-umpteen milimeter minigun).
In short. I'm going away. my character is in trouble. Do what you wish with him. I say YES to everything done to him while I'm gone.
See you monday...))
Stood among a sea of corpses, the child simply stared on. From his position, he noticed an old man bathed in his own blood, a younger man clenching pistols, another covered with debris and another pinned down under a large beam. Scanning the area, he could count six mechanical units and about two dozen androids with more decloaking upon dispatch.
The resistance of heroes and villains far outnumbered the invading androids, yet, cornered inside the warehouse, they were loosing the battle.
"Enough"
Suddenly, every android stood down. The child appeared to have halted their advanced with a simple command. They stood, expressionless like statues.
However, the machines fought onwards, stomping the warehouse and burning everything in their path.
"Enough"
The word was barely heard as only whisper but it echoed through the warehouse.
In the corner of his field of vision the armored man saw all present androids stop dead in their tracks. For a second he thought that the giant mecha threatening him had also stopped but that idea was shunned from his mind when the mechas machine gun let a burst of ammunition spray gaping hole in the support beam as it was aiming for his heart.
"Big mistake you metal piece of sh*t." Grabbing each side of the hole in the support beam the man in armor rips the support beam in half and leaps up, flying through the air although this time in collision course with the giant robot.
As the mecha is struggling to take aim on the fast moving target the arm with the machine gun is suddenly cut in half when the armored man lands on the mechas chest. Another quick slice and the mechas head comes crashing down on the floor.
((I'm back from my vacation now ))
Human flesh withered away, replaced by blue fur. The warehouse was far too small to contain this hundred-foot beast.
"Arkne!" cried the monster as he rose to his feet. Fully stretched, he could have ran his fingers underneath the floating saucer that was Core 27.
With a mighty roar as deafening as a dreadful wail, Mer'de cleared four mechanical units in one gigantum swipe.
With the android manning the remaining mech unit held psychically, the machine's auto-pilot system switched to 'retreat'. Their most dangerous battle mode.
[Running through the fire and falling debris Blindsight drew his pistol and started to open fire. Each bullet making its mark on the androids. ]
Between the idea and the reality.
[Guns smoking at the barrel Blindsight leapt into the air, withdrawing his katana he plunged it through an androids head.]
Between the motion and the action.
[Spinning round to see Samson crusing an androids head he catches a glimpse of Merde. His android executioner standing behind him.]
Falls the Shadow.
[In a cloud of black smoke Blindsight vanished only to reappear seconds later on the other side of the room. moments before a burning support beam comes crashing down from the ceiling.]
