Temp Invunerbility, worth taking ?
Temp Invulnerabilty is important as it gives you S/L resistance ( about 22.5% IIRC ) which stacks with your Resist Physical Damage.
Unyielding does not provide damage mitigation at low levels. It does provide mez protection.
It has a -5% defence to all.
It also has +3.75% res to S/L and 7.5% res to everything else ( except Psi ). So you need to enhance it by 33% to come out evens ( because 1 defence == 2 resistance ). This is 2 DOs.
So you will need to rely on Temp Inv as your main defensive power* until you reach level 28 and can get invincibility.
* Unless you get Dull Pain, but that is not good at low levels as it isn't available frequently enough.
@Unthing ... Mostly on Union.
Thanks very much Unthing.
Must admit I didn't know the equation of 1 def = 2 Res.
That certainly puts a new light on unyielding.
Thanks
I have an additional question, to which I haven't found a clear answer anywhere yet:
Does TI and Unyielding stack?

Yes.
The 3.75% S/L of Unyielding will stack with the 5ish% S/L resistance of RPD and the 22.5% S/L resistance of TI.
With 3 Single Origin enhancements in all it means you will take 50% damage to Slash/Lethal. However Temp Invulnerability will have the most effect of the 3 powers.

Ok, thanks I've searched far and wide for that answer
And if your going down this route take boxing then tough from the fighting pool, which gives you even more S/L resistance, about 11.25% I think, then slot it with 3 DamRes and 1 End Red to give you another 16-17% S/L resistance.
I do this with all my Inv Alts, and it's very handy.
I've played a MA/Regen scrapper before but I've just started a Claws/Inv one.
I was wondering if it was worth taking Temp Inv power or should I hang on and wait for Unyielding and/or invincibility and tough hide. Or should i take them all and stack them. Any advice would be welcome. thanks
BTW I don't intend to use the Alt in PvP just mainly PvE
