An Outsider's view of Paragon

I sit beyond the multiverse.

My time (such a strange concept, but since I am trying to communicate with you these concepts are necessary) is spent watching those events which have shaped miniscule destinies and, in turn, have shaped the multiverse.

I see all. I see a great hand reaching out of the stars; I see planets exploding while a green eagle receeds from it quickly; I see a forest again and again, although it is a different place each time; I see conspiracies and madness and wasps all compounding each other.

This should let you know that I am everywhere. But nowhere. I am Sphinx-like, but open.

I am devoting my being to the place in the Multiverse known only as Paragon City. It is known in the different facets of the multiverse as a beacon.

I see it and approve. I see it and I despair.

There is much of this city which I would destroy, should I have the inclination. But then, there are those tiny things in it which stay my hand.

Heroes.

Protecting citizens, saving lives, preventing late bus services.

I would destroy the lives of the malefactors, of the lackeys, of the lawyers.

But it is the shining heroes that maintain my interest.

Perhaps one day, I shall be forced to smite this land from existence.

But not today.....
