Positron is soloable.
To be honest I think I've finished Positron's task farce solo more often than I've finished it as part of a team.
With a rad/rad def?
I did have a go at Synapse after everyone had left but after almost 2 deaths off the first mob I decided against it...
Synapse would be... difficult, soloing all the way.
There is an AV at the end, and I don't think that the scaling technology affects AVs in TFs (ie making the AV an EB).
That said, you could very likely pick up some Shivans from bloody bay and give it a decent blast! 
Positron you might have a chance. No AV in that one. But unless you're built as a highly offensive defender, you might have trouble.
Once again try it with a shivan and you might be sparkling

I'm built as an all rounder really, good in a team but not a very good solo char.
It's not as much fun doing it solo anyway, much more fun to have a few peeps with you...

12-15 for Positron if I remember rightly and Synapse i'm guessing but is it 16-19?
Hmm, pretty sure it's 10-15 (ex to 16, nada xp) and 15-20 (ex to 21, no xp).
But I might be mistaken. I'm pretty sure about the top levels, and I tend to do them when I get nearer to them rather than trying it lower, since these two TFs are just insane at those levels.

Was a good TF, rare deaths and only 2 team wipouts throughout and all finished that started! Kicked off about 6:30 and ended about 11..
