Steal with Stalkers

N00bie stalker question..

What is the advantage of taking stealth with the stalker set. I see it in a lot of builds but as hide is so much better than stealth what is the advantage?

Stealth stacks with Hide and so hides you better.

Stealth stacks with hide, allowing you to become more than completely invisible.

This is useful for perceptive enemies in PvE who can see through stealth ( Rikti drones, snipers and others ) and for sneaking up on people more effectively in PvP.
