EN/EN respec.. what to choose ?

I just got my energy/energy blaster to 34 and pretty soon i'll be doing my 2nd respec. As this is my main and i'm fairly new to the game my 1st respec was done more or less "on the fly" and i picked more or less the same powersets.

I've got a few issues with my build since my respec mainly stamina probs(i know now that i should include stamina in my build) and unused powers. I'd like a little advice on what powers to take and the order to take them in the respec, also considering switching from fly to a faster travel power, thinking SJ but does anyone have any other recommendations ?

P.S please make it so i can understand it

SJ would be pretty solid choice, if you're tight on powers and can afford to sacrifice vertical movement capability SS would be good as well, seeing as it's pre-requisite is hasten which is VERY useful. I'd go for something along the lines of:

[/b]01) --> Power Blast==> Acc(1)Dmg(3)Dmg(7)Dmg(17)
01) --> Power Thrust==> Acc(1)
02) --> Power Bolt==> Acc(2)Dmg(3)Dmg(7)Dmg(21)
04) --> Energy Punch==> Acc(4)Dmg(5)Dmg(5)Dmg(15)
06) --> Hurdle==> Jump(6)
08) --> Power Burst==> Acc(8)Dmg(9)Dmg(9)Dmg(17)EndRdx(37)Rechg(46)
10) --> Bone Smasher==> Acc(10)Dmg(11)Rechg(11)Dmg(15)EndRdx(37)Rechg(46)
12) --> Hasten==> Rechg(12)Rechg(13)Rechg(13)
14) --> Super Speed==> Run(14)
16) --> Build Up==> Rechg(16)Rechg(21)Rechg(31)
18) --> Conserve Power==> Rechg(18)Rechg(19)Rechg(19)
20) --> Health==> Heal(20)
22) --> Stamina==> EndMod(22)EndMod(23)EndMod(23)
24) --> Energy Torrent==> Acc(24)Dmg(25)Dmg(25)Dmg(29)EndRdx(37)Rechg(40)
26) --> Sniper Blast==> Acc(26)Dmg(27)Dmg(27)Dmg(29)Rechg(43)EndRdx(46)
28) --> Aim==> Rechg(28)Rechg(31)Rechg(34)
30) --> Power Boost==> Rechg(30)Rechg(31)Rechg(36)
32) --> Nova==> Acc(32)Dmg(33)Dmg(33)Dmg(33)Rechg(34)Rechg(34)
35) --> Boost Range==> Rechg(35)Rechg(36)Rechg(36)
38) --> Total Focus==> Acc(38)Dmg(39)Dmg(39)Dmg(39)Rechg(40)DisDur(40)
41) --> Shocking Bolt==> Acc(41)Hold(42)Hold(42)Hold(42)Rechg(43)Rechg(43)
44) --> Charged Armor==> EndRdx(44)DmgRes(45)DmgRes(45)DmgRes(45)
47) --> Static Discharge==> Acc(47)Dmg(48)Dmg(48)Dmg(48)Rechg(50)
49) --> Hover==> Fly(49)Fly(50)Fly(50)

I've just done a respec to make my En/En blaster into a blapper, she's lvl 30 or something like that. She's really crazy to play - has a huge damage output, all of it single target and runs out of endurance very fast My build performs really well in both PvP and PvE

Powers to get and slot heavily: Power Punch, Bone Smasher, Power Blast, Power Burst, aim, buildup, stamina (along with swift and hurdle).

That's your attack chain with those 4 attacks and 2 buffs. You sometimes get a little down time, but it's not a huge issue.

Good stuff to also have: Combat Jumping and acrobatics for immobilise and hold protection. Hasten, Conserve Power. Snipe and Nova are both great to have, especially if you've got some defiance

Things to ignore even if you don't go for the blapper type: Power Bolt, it's a pants attack: low damage and kinda long animation time.

Your travel is a personal choice.

My blaster is character built and has Fly because of it, awesome manuveurability with practice, has Hover for combat.
It's an okay PvP power, but be prepared for the experienced players to catch up.

That said, mine's a nice mix between range and some awesome melee for the fight moves in close.

I'm due to respec but these powers have served me well.

Snipe, Power Blast, Power Bolt and Power Torrent.

Snipe is awesome & a must have item. The Torrent is for crowds of minions and/or making some space for well timed Snipe on the higher foes.

The Bolt, agreed, has low dmg even when triple slotted (& may go in my respec) but it has super low end cost & v. fast recharge so you can keep on firing.

These four ranged attacks make a good chain for me.

Melee, Power Punch I got rid of but may go back & up it with Knock Back.

The heavy punch (can't remember it's name) & Total Focus is a must.

The first little punch you get has low dmg output BUT is cool for knocking back annoying/swarming villians, this may be traded if I can find another power that does the same & recharges as quick.

Nova - superb power, always have a bluey in your pocket with this one tho.

Air Superiority fits my toon when villains follow me skyward, it also gets used in my melee chain.

Take Medecine, if only for the Heal Self power, you'll find this handy!

Get Endurance ASAP!!! Lvl 20 I believe or as soon as it highlights on your respec screen!

The other powers, Build Up, Aim etc, I haven't played with yet, the write ups never leapt out at me. (Conserve Power b4 I knew about Stamina did tho), so I'll have to try them on the Test Server perhaps...

Vertical movement for me.... very useful. My SS defender runs miles round a map sometimes without the vertical option

Took the Leadership pool, really handy buffs but it was chosen originally to suit my character build.

Hope this helps in some way!!!

Oh yeah the Epic pool.

Munitions was the most fitting for my character. Took the Body Armour for the defence aspect. The other weapons suit also, but not got them yet!

1 - if you mean Energy Punch the KB would be pretty useless here, slot it for 3 dmg, 1 or 2 acc, and a disorient or endurance reduction and u'll out damage your Power Blast easily.

2 - The heavy punch is Bonesmasher and i agree wholeheartedly that both total focus and BS are nice in a melee chain.

3 - u'll be hardpushed to get rid of this power seeing as though it's the very firet in your secondary and hence forth forced to take it ALTHOUGH there IS a better alternative in your Primary, pick up Power Push, it recharges just as fast, pushes then just as far (if not further) and is a has the range of your power blast!

4 - I think every blaster on Union and Defiant would agree on me professing my love for Buildup and Aim! These are pretty much THE powers in our sets. 5 seconds of extra damage doesnt sound like much, but with hasten and 3recred you can pretty much have it up every 20-30 seconds IIRC, and trust me ADDING 3 SO's WORTH OF DMG ISN'T SNEEZED AT.
If you like your Nova WITHOUT these buffs, oh my god you'll combust when u use it WITH them. i can comfortably annihilate 15 +2's in one shot of my nuke......

Oh and i can use Conserve Power to fully support my Endurance so dont need the Fitness Pool sets

5 - Yeah i've seen some blasters take these to aid Acc with Aim, but can be total Endurance hogs if not slotted very heavily. Be warned that blasters get less of a buff to these attributes than for eg a defender would.

Other advice i could add is look very hard at your secondary set, it's delicious. Try and take EVERY single buff, they'll ALL help. See the thread on PowerBoost and Boost Range for my comments on those excellent powers.

Hope that helped - just PM me for anything else you might need to know..............or just post it here obv

HOW?! Tell me how!

Long recharge means I can only use it every so often...

give ED the good ol' boot, slot CP with 6 rechargers, and also 6-slot hasten. Still a way off perma or perma-ish, but available often enough to be considered a viable option to not having stamina. Also slotting with at least 1 endrdx in various powers, alongside with a recharger, will make it easier (not easy, but easier...) without stamina. I've never tried a health and/or stamina-less build with my en/en/elec, and since I've got only 1 respec left for that toon I'm not got to just test it out Well, I can copy over to Test-server I suppose...

Here is what I am going to test on Test-server now (don't mind the lvl of slotting, it'll probably change a bit):

Nice numbers Bolt, iv always wondered, whats the downtime on FoN? all blappers take note of a good looking build.
This a pure PvE build Bolt? just the lack of ToHit in Aim and single slotted Acc. Maybe some inter-red in Snipe too

this is the PvE build, only minor swapping of enhancers needed to kick beehind in PvP too (1 more acc, loose 1 runspeed in SS and put an extra to-hit in aim) I see now that I've put 3 slots in SS, that should be only 2. So I'll put that one in Aim, with a to-hit. I'll be having BU and aim up as soon as they're available.

All in all a decent build, but still squishy

Downtime of FoN - have to check numbers. But there is a definitive downtime, but I'll manage.
