My respec for Ill/FF

Hi guys ! I'd like to know what you tink about my future respec for my Illusion/FF controller, 100 % dedicated to PvP in the new zone and in arena. Now, with a slightly different build, more endurance-heavy, he'e doing quite very well both in Arenas and PvP zones, especially Warburg

Here is what I'm heading to :

From the former build and PvP experience with it, I dropped SI to GI, because I realized SI had a too high endurance cost, added the Leaping pool for vertical movement (and KB protection), dropped Repulsion field (I thought it prevented me from AS, it seems not).

Few remarks and questions :
- my Achilles heels are still no sleep protection (but few people conserve sleep powers in their builds) and a still quite endurance heavy build, but from the numbers of the planner, I had a 1.15 regen before, which was just just necessary to beat /kin controller on duel (1-0 for me), now a 1.5... but as I'm lvl 40 right now, I don't see the benefit of a Conserve Power up each third of time

- I don't take the psi ancillary powerpool, because Dispersion bubble offers me protection against everything (but sleep, see above )

- Swift 3-slotted to avoid at the maximum the slow debuffs (especially from stormies)

- Force bolt 6-slotted because I want to toggle-drop everything, even a MM in its PFF

- No deflection/insulation shield. Now, without this respec, my controller don't have them, defence numbers on them being really too low. I'm waiting to see how works the new defence scaling of I7 in PvP. If it makes these bubbles interesting, I think I can drop Power Blast and Vengeance to get them.

- Repulsion field is a toggle-dropper. But I count on Force bubble to keep foes at bay and for /energy or /invulnerability on Force bolt.

Do this all thing make sense to you ? Criticize all you can, I just want it to make it perfect (though now, with some errors, he can beat in SC or Warburg or Arena every villain AT and has only difficulties again /kinetic controllers and skillful blasters).

looks good as far as i can see..

personally im not too big a fan of SJ for my ill/ff in pvp but if you can get around with it using your tactics i think you should be fine

maybe add an extra recharge on GI to have less downtime? I found out that with just 1 recharge on GI you might have some unconvenient downtime in your invis. This is reason why I also kept SI, to cover that downtime.

Force bubble indeed is enough to keep most enemies at bay, except tankers (maybe brutes as well but I have yet to fight one at that lvl ).

Oh, repulsion field can protect you from AS seeing its a PBAoE power and it toggledrops, yet it has some quirks. For one, it isnt autohit, if it misses the stalker as he is about to AS you... well then you are screwed nonetheless. Second of all, it does its repulsion in "pulses" it isnt a constant repulsion like forcebubble, it does a repel every second or so. If somebody can get an attack in between those pulses, rep field wont help a thing.

Even though you explained why you didnt pick it, I still would pick psi mastery. For now psi is the least resisted damage type and indomitable will will give you that sleep resist as well. Also seeing indomitable will is a click, it cant be dropped like dispersion bubble.

I dont know what epics villains will get but if they get some psi damage as well, that +def(psi) and +res(psi) from psi mastery will come in handy as well.

But well, its all up to preference i'd say. The build you posted looks pretty good though

Everything looks fine. The problem Im having is the choice of movement. I would have gone for hurdle/cj since jumping isnt slowed by "movement slows".

The powers choices and slotting looks good.

Ok thx a lot for your constructive comments. I think I'll wait until I7 comes out, because :

- PvP defence scaling not known, maybe allies bubbles will be worth it ?
- psi ancillary PP because of vilains ? (good remark Nefarious about the psi damage). What do power boost exactly for controllers ? I heard it doubles hold duration, but what about magnitude ? Does it increase it ? What about detoggle ability ?

And last question, I put SJ in because now, I only have SS + hurdle, and I completely lack vertical movement against flying stalkers and blasters. Is CJ+hurdle sufficient in these cases or should I take SJ ?

You dont have hurdle atm. I would prolly skip health and get hurdle instead. Im not a big fan of health, no matter what toon Im playing.

Hurdle 3 jumps, CJ 2-3 jumps is awesome. Its almost as fast as SJ, but half as high. The key thing is that its not suppresed, and therefor very fast.
You still need acrocbatics IMO, so keep SJ.

Powerboost enhances your secondary effects.
Toggle dropping isnt a secondary effect, nor is mez magnitude. These are set by the power and cant be effected in any way, by any powers (dominations -dominations special ability - is the only exception)
I would never take PSI personnaly. I hate the long animation of mental blast. With the other blast you can often get the triple damage from the blast before people use a break free, but with mental you cant, unless people where completly drained. Its simply takes too much time.

bout activation time, once you activate the power it does its damage calculation, if a person were to use a breakfree after you activated mental blast but BEFORE it hits, it will still calculate the damage and sideeffects before he broke free. Use it all the time with psi tornado, when i activate it in a mob, yet the mob scatters before it hits, the ones that were next to my target still get flung into the air as if they were right next to him.

However i took psi mainly for the 2 "shields" you get disp bubble + indomitable will is almost impossible to breach mez protection
