Depends.. a Katana/SR was my first 50 back in i3/i4, when SR wasn't so badly nerfed.. since then its varied choice. Come I7 SR will be greatly improved.
Katana, imho is a good choice on most as its fast, accurate and -DEFs a bit.
Personally.. try it for a few levels, then decide

He's right, I've got a kat/sr and I'm not in my right mind... wibble. 
(PS. kat/sr is probably going to be awesome come next issue if the Def scaling gets fixed.)
