New blaster needs advice

i have a 50 elec / ice blaster so can give you a few tips on the electric primary m8.
charged bolts & lightning bolts:
pretty good attacks which will see you throughout the game as they have fairly quick recharges and when slotted properly do decent damage.
ball lightning - an attack that can do decent damage to multiple foes within a close area.
short circuit - not worth it as you have to get close range to use and the endurance drain isnt that good.
aim - great to combo with build up and a nuke but not essential as you can put accuracies in other powers.
Voltaic Sentinel: really pointless, do not get! does minimal damage even when slotted.
Thunderous Blast - Big yes! really really great when slotted with 3x damage, 2x accuracy and recharge reduction!
It should work as a pretty nice combination. Short Circuit used to be a phenomenal blapping power, but now takes 2 applications to drain an even con enemy - once you pick up Power Boost you should be back to draining them dry, though. At lower levels, SC and Ball Lightning both slotted for damage will give you very respectable AoE damage output, albeit at close range. Tesla Cage will be incredibly useful to you and should be a priority as soon as you can pick it up. Voltaic Sentinel sadly doesn't really cut it - I had some success with it and it's a fun power, but it blasts at a slow enough rate that you'll tend to finish things off before it can help you much - a better power for Defenders. Thunderous Blast is probably the best of all the 'nukes' - ranged, and a viable single target attack in a pinch as it won't then fully empty your End bar (End cost varies with the number of enemies you hit - 3 hits will drain you from full to empty). Zzap is a good snipe - never bothered with it on my blapper, but it's probably worth including for PvP.

played heroes for a very long time but only just decided to make a blaster. chosen elec/energy power sets and was just wondering if anyone can give me any advice on powers to choose/avoid etc. played too many scrappers to count and a few controllers, but know nothing much about blaster powers. any advice gretly appreciated
will probably go blapper route as im far too insane not to charge in middle of combat!!!
