Numbers/defence question.

Can anyone do the numbers work here for me or tell me if its worth while. Lets say im fighting a controller with 2 acc SOs in their powers. IF my blaster had Cloaking device slotted with 3 Defbuffs(all SOs) + maneuvers slotted with 6 DefBuffs. And I hit the controller with smoke nade slotted with 3 acc Debuffs. What would the controllers chance of hitting my blaster be? I know the defBuffs arnt much on their own but combined with the smoke nade do you think it would be worthwhile? Ive the cold epic armour for different reason's I wont go into so any extra defence would be nice as the armour sucks.

Without numbers, and purely from experience - during the S4 tournament, I 6-slotted CD with DefBuff and 6-slotted Smoke Grenade with THDebuff on Test... and it made hardly a damned bit of difference. This was against attacks with a single acc enhancement in them, FYI.

I could still see the usefulness in Smoke Grenade with it's -Perception - but for one small problem... even with CD on, by the time you're close enough to use it, the enemy can still see you even after you've used it. >_>

If it worked like Arachnos Night Widow's SG - which confused the hell out of me the first time I saw it used (or didn't see, as it happens ) - I'd have it back in a flash. As it stands... little to no point in having it in a PvP situation, for my $.02.

Yea it would be great if smoke nade worked like a stalkers plactate. Use it and you turn invis for 20 seconds or untill you attack. Then again it would be great if you could shorten the time it takes to lay mines. It would be great if we got our toggle droppers sooner etc etc
I think the Devices set stands out from the other sets but i think alot could be done to help it in PvP. Stun should be a toggle dropper for a start. TD combined with tactics is a big bonus letting you become a stalkers stalker. It also frees up a lot of slots in your attacks letting you slot extra EndRed and Recharge. And then combined with ice you can do what a blasters ment to do, Kill from range All that said we stand little to no chance against tanks and scrappers. Some people are into telemining but IMO anyone and gives you time to lay mines in the arena needs their heads seen to. And with more and more taking tactics to deal with stalkers I would say tele minings days are numberd.
