There was an altercation on the GGOOC channel tonight. I'm not going into the details because everyone involved who I've spoken to wants the matter closed. I'm happy with this.
It did, however, highlight the fact that, while the GGOOC channel has moderators, it doesn't have guidelines for what is and is not acceptable behaviour.
This isn't an attempt to enforce any kind of rules on anyone, just a request which, as a Moderator of the channel, I feel I have the right, and obligation, to make.
Please, in future, if something causes offence in GGOOC, can people try to keep it to /tells, and away from the channel itself? It does nothing but create a bad atmosphere for everyone involved, and make the situation worse. I think we'd all like the channel to be a place where we can talk amongst friends without having to see an argument play out.
Basically, if someone does or says anything over GGOOC that causes offence, there are three options:
1: Ignore it
2: Send a /tell
3: Notify a Moderator
Please play nice?

Quick and mostly irrelevant question: Do you say the channel name as the letters 'G-G-O-O-C' or do you call it 'Ga-[censored]'?
