The importance of a good team

Not wishing to state the bleeding obvious here, but - what a difference a good team makes to a Corruptor! Teamed with a really good Brute and Dominator on Wednesday, happily followed the Brute into slowed and immob'ed mobs (Dominator doing a great job) firing off RI, Irradiate, Electron Haze etc at will, nothing could hit us, if it did I could heal it, the Brute kept the agro and the mobs were clustered nicely. Contrastingly, I have been in a team that didn't gel so well, my anchor kept getting killed, Rain of Fire made everyone run away and well....you can guess the rest

Solo I'm finding a bit of a challenge, unless I slow right down. In a good team, we are ripping through everything in a satisfactory fashion

Having fun, and have mothballed my Dominator and MM - How about you guys?

Good teams are sometimes hard to find. Especially when you are new and dont know what a good team is !
When i first started on COH iwas in loads of pikup teams as i didnt know any different, and remember loads of hospital trips and cursing etc.
Now in COV i team with mostly ppl i know and when we do go to hospital it is really quite funny.

Occasionally new ppl join and some are good, some not so good. But like all things we were all new once.
My mm is semi retired as well in favour of my rad/rad corruptor.

I was beginning to find summoning andupgrading my pets a time consuming exercise at the start of every mish.

Unlike now where im in and fighting straight away.

My corruptor is going to be my main toon in COV all the way to the lvl cap.

I find anything more than a 4 man team can go wrong at any point usually. Generally i like smaller teams 2-4 with the others being anything but MMs or Stalkers.

well a good team is always a bonus, i usually team with members of my SG or coalition so we know each others play style well (and we tend to go through missions like a chainsaw through butter ) although we did the same AV mission twice last night with wildly differing results, first time through slowly cleared the room then dropped Rad Infection on the AV and hammered away with barely any drop in health form the team. The second time did not go as well. unfortunatley an MM's pet aggroed the AV and she stomped us all flat before i could do anything.

But i wouldn't say solo is slow for a rad/rad i find it a hell of a lot more fluid and quick than my blaster in coh.

Aim + proton volley followed up by xray eyes will drop one mob. lob rad infection onto another and then pile in. Cosmic burst (slotted for disorient duration is a life saver as i can use it to basically knock one mob out of contention (they never get a chance for an attack as i can fire it off again before the stun wears off )

I can't get Aim till lvl 16 now as I'm taking SS next. Too many shiny powers.....

Did you bother with Electron Haze?

yes, i took electron haze as it's the only AOE you can get till lvl 28, mind you i'm not a hundred percent convinced it's a good power, the knockback can be handy for keeping mobs of their feet but it's a pain if it knocks too many out of the radiation infection. i may well move away from this in the future

A great deal of noise scattering grease everywhere then slipping up?

The other analogy of course is surgical precision, 18th century to be precise lots of screaming and a bucket of hot pitch on standby

I used to play in big (good) teams up to lvl thirty-something, but now i prefer smaller teams. i dont like more than one MM, and more than like 4ppl in a team. however i can play solo w/o problems, i did level 38 almost entirely solo.
