it works but id image him with inv/energy melee instead of ss.
I like the tron aspect of it. Perhaps a costume with some hints of that mixed in?

Thunder is good, thunder is impressive, but lightning does the work.
here is the story.
A 22 out of work EMT in a smalltown outside Pittsburgh PA, USA who is disillutioned with life. He had a car wreck a year ago and now is unable to get work on an ambulance, or anything that involves driving.
He lives at home and is taking pharmacy technician classes. Although he has tried to get work at many places, he is either under-experinced or over-experienced. he is smart but he needs a job.
One day after coming home from an interview that didn't go so well he sits down and watches tv. a knock comes on the door and when he answers there is nobody there, just a package.
When he open the package all thats there is a disc. Being bored and curious he puts the CD into his computer an a program opens up. A large sign flashes on the screen and says,
"WELCOME TO SIMMAN
PLEASE PUT ON ASSOCIATED HEADSET"
HE follows the instructions and comes to a screen asking him to load his SIMMAN. he does and the character appears in a city somewhere in the US. After playing around he begins to notice famous landmarks, The atlas globe in front of paragon city hall. He had seen many time on the news. Ms Liberty standing talking to heroes. It began to dawn on him that this wasn't JUST a computer program, not JUST a game.
After logging off for the first time a Shadowed figure loads onto the screen.
"Dear user,
You have been chosen to run the latest edition of Simman, a computer program written in advanced computer code that allows it to interact with the real world via Hard Light Hologram. It has the ability to harden it self giving it a sort of faux-invulnerabilty useful for protecting others. It also has the ability to make itself light as air and fly. It can combine these two abilities and say harden its hands to hit an enemy while flying. It can also interact with any computer system and download, decode, and translate it in a matter of seconds.
Please be aware that if you choose to accept this responsibilty you accept the dangers that go with it. There are people looking for this program using twisted version of thier from code stolen from me.

the character is basically a mix of TRON, using the character being controlled by a user. Arnold rimmer from red dwarf, being a hard light hologram. He is also slightly based on Vision, even though he is a hardlight prgram he can change his density.
These factors lead me to the INV/SS/FLY powersets.
I'm still working on his costume but I'm leaning more towards the perplex set, since I don't see it very often.
eventualy through use of Simman, the character eventually comes to have a greater feeling of self worth and renwed respect for humanity.
He goes onto become a programmer and and is eventually recruited to help create the next generation fo Simman, thus becoming the next Creator.
one aspect I like is that characters that are unaware of what Simman is tend to call him Simon, so when he is teaming with people that is his nickname, though IG his name is spelled correctly.
